Hey guys,

I'm an outfitter, I went with outfitter because I'm a goblin rogue and assumed I'd be wearing leather armour for the most part. I'm now confused, though! I didn't realise that there was actually 'medium' armour crafted by blacksmiths, which I can wear. There's also 'medium' armour crafted by outfitters, which I can also wear, but seems to generally have a much lower AF.

Now, why would somebody (a rogue, in this case), choose to wear leather armour over scale? If both are medium and both are wearable by a rogue, why even bother having leather as an option?

A friend of mine said he *thinks* it might be something to do with the properties you can enchant onto the armour. Perhaps leather armour can have better rogue-only abilities placed on it, whilst scale type stuff isn't quite so good for enchanting?

I hope this makes sense, because to be honest it barely makes sense in my mind! I'd very much appreciate some info on the matter.

Cheers!

first off blacksmiths make 95% heavy. The scale recipes do not come from the trainers and only come from special recipes.

Since the item lvl is deterimined on a item the scale stuff abosrbs more item "points" in having a higher AC. As a result you will see lower stats on a scale piece than a leather piece of the same rairty and level.
