Halfling Clerics

Hi all

I was wondering how your racial works in groups and is it a corpse running saver at all?

Been playing a Cleric now and really enjoying it. I picked Dwarf at the start as it seemed to fit being a tough plate wearing healer and have been fine with him up to lvl 17 which I am now.
But after glancing at a post where someone mentions the halfling racial in basic detail, I thought that sounded quite a good addition to a healer class.

I dont fancy re rolling at the moment but I do love my cleric class and would enjoy having that something extra which might help with any corpse running :D
If anyone could give me some more info on how it actually works in situations that would be great.

Rofl! Well the thought did cross my mind ;) Its a similar reason why I didnt roll a High Elf.They all look to pretty!

The racials doesn't really matter that much. Roll the race you find my astehically pleaseing

I rolled high-elf! I'm no fancy-pants! I can dish it out and take it! :)

The halfling racial ability changed a great deal right before (or was it right after?) launch. It used to be a 100% deagro on one mob, which made it useful as a CR tool. Some claimed it was AE but i was never able to fire it without targeting a mob, and only ever saw it work on one mob. I will admit I'm wrong if someone can prove otherwise. But the rogues cried like little babies that their "class defining" ability (which they don't get till high 40's) shouldn't be used as a racial, so it got "nerfed."

Now its an "almost all" agro reducer, leaving you with "a small amount" of hate on a mob. Its great for that situation when the big bad mob is about to smear you into the floor, the tank just had his rescue resisted, and you were interrupted for the 5th time trying to heal yourself. It will get the mob back on the tank (or whoever has the highest agro under you). It is just useless in a solo situation. I hardly ever use it, because i can usually lose enough agro on a mob using our Pacify..... if its not resisted that is lol!

The Halfling Racial is, in its current state, totally useless. As usual, they took one of the most interesting racials and nerfed it into oblivion.
It would still be underpowered compared to other racials if it reduced your aggro on every mob around by 99%. But on 1 mob, that you have to target, it's useless.
I still went Halfling for my Cleric, because they get all the ladies.

Halflings on the whole are abhorent nasty smelly furry footed little twits that eat a lot of my food..they become lunch..

Gnomes are confusing little tinkerers who just BEG to be punted, which reminds me I need to test out the /punt emote when I get home.

So ONE out of three ain't bad! The good news is that they ALL fit in my boots.

The racial is not useless, but yeah it is only good for a significant deaggro on one mob. It is still nice but nothing worth rerolling over :) Now halfling coolness factor, that is another story ;)

if i went cleric i woulda chose halfing simply because they own! dont care about racials or anything else, if halfing coulda been disciples i woulda chosen one regardless of racials, i never choose my race based on min/maxing as that is just stupid, you have to live with your choice for 50 levels you know...

LOL I wanted to play a Psionicist when i first heard about them. They just sounded so cool. but in beta i started both a dark elf psi and a halfling cleric. After 3 days, I couldn't go back to the dark elf. Halflings are *SO* where its at ;)

Lol, I have been a Dwarf, Blacksmithing CLR for like the last 5 or 6 MMO's, so it has been years. That is why I made a Dwarf. Though I hate all the hair cuts, so I just did the Mohawk, lol. The 25% mitigation and immunity to stun, knockback, snare and poison is pretty nice too in those hairy situations. I just wish the refresh time was lower, heh.
