I was just curious what all you shaman are doing with your attributes. It seems to me that pretty much ALL the attributes are usefull to a shaman so I am having a heckuva time trying to choose/figure out what to do.
Lets hear some thoughts!

WIS and VIT I keep maxed, then the leftovers go to DEX or INT

OK, the more I play now that I am getting a little higher(lev 16 now), I am starting to think putting points into DEX would be a good idea. I havent put any point into DEX yet but I seem to be meleeing more and more now. Winters Roar almost never lands(resisted a LOT) and I can hit for up to 1000 with a crit now so that is much more usefull that Spirit Strike. Should I pump my points into DEX now for the increased crit chance? Seems like the way to go now!

Our primary role is healer. Wis and Vitality are the bread and butter for this. After that, it is up to you to decide where to dump your extra points. Arguments for any stat after those 2 all have merit (int, dex, con). You really can't go wrong after wis/vit maxing.

I am even starting to question this, but mostly it is for my personal situation since I duo with my wife and she is a cleric. Soooo, she does all the healing, although that will probably change more as we level. We are planning on splitting up our healing duties later when we are in full groups to make it easier for everyone. Right now, strangely enough, I mostly melee in fights after DoT-ing the mobs - guess I should have been a DK! I do great damage though, I crit for up 1000. Even the warrior we group with is jealous!

Max Vit/Wis, then I have alternated with Con, Int, and probably a bit of Dex soon. I think getting a good mix that makes you happy with your extras is the best way to go. Me being a Mordebi gives me 2 extra points per level after maxxing Vit and Wis and I want to have a decent amount of HPs plus resists so I have done mostly Con. Then I also want some decent DPS from my Casts (DoTs, plus some DD later on when Hayatet is ungimped and made worth casting my fire spells). Dex I may put a few in every once in awhile to just get a bit extra crit chance, which later on I can just change the Int, Dex to Con for raiding.

You press C, select the adventuring tab on the left and then the attributes tab at the bottom. Some races get predefined increases to certain stats while others can distribute their points freely. All races ultimately get 14 points per level.
