Bear Shaman Ruined !!!!!

Ok so new patch... course no patch notes.....

Rumor is Shaman getting nerfed... No worries been expecting it. Change into bear form pull a level 17 2 dotter (i am lvl 22) so its green to me and i am doing Crap dmg. So WTF i look and i see the bear form is no longer adding the 20% melee dmg increase.

This better be a G-damned bug cause i am not about to make a new toon and i have put too much time and effort into playing this toon what with crafting and diplo.

There are too many other good games out and coming out without having to put up with such eggregious nerfs.

Not only that a mace i bought that had 16 dps is now useless cause its now 10 DPS ! And no thats not the reason for the dmg drop i checked with my other maces.

Tuurgin Shaman wasnt supposed to have great dps, tuurgin is defensive fighter, not ofensive, if was really nerfed was just to became whatd they initially intended for bear shaman

It's no a bug was know from days from class leaders infos that shamans getting big nerf in this patch.

what I have discovered though is they have balanced this change by an increase in my pet damage and attack speed (was 30-40 damage now 70-90 and faster) so "Paddington" my pet bear is now way more viable soloing.. (cute little mite can now solo 3 dots and he's proud of it..)

Actually, he's supposed to be a melee fighter period. Hayatet's the caster, and Rakurr's the hybrid.

Regardless, the original poster needs to get a grip since we were obviously way over powered to begin with.

That said, I'm still updating and am not looking forward to what's ahead lol

Actually, I think they are supposed to be Healers, period. There is a reason everyone is/was playing shamans that are not Hayatet. Because the others were seriously OP'd, lol. Gonna be interesting to see guildies reaction who re-rolled their DSC as a Bear Shaman. Flavor of the week FTL!

But who knows, maybe it is just bugged. But I have heard nerfs all around, where are the dang patch notes?

I don't want to be a damn healbot. We are supposed to be hybrids with a good mix of offensive and defensive abilities. if all I can do is spend all day healing people then i guess I better quit shaman now.

Meanwhile, Hayatet Shaman are wondering when they are going to fix their broken patron.

I don't even login my Hayatet Shaman anymore. My pet is at best a buggy DOT and my patron form is worthless. I'm a bird but don't have the ability to gain altitude?

No one does, but they also have to be somewhat balanced. Look at the other patrols, Hayatet specifically. It is down in the pits at 25+. And the patch notes didn't even read like they nerfed the damage. The tooltip for it still was there, 20%, 22% and 24% as you increase in level. So it looks bugged if this is indeed true.

Even then, the Hayatet needs some lovin, IMO. Bear is for tanking, not DPS, and you can probably easily out DPS and out do a Phoenix SHM atm. The nerfs are coming, so be ready, heh. I am ready for my CLR to show up in cloth armor and no melee attacks here soon :)

I think he likes putting lots of ???'s and !!!'s for everyone to see. I think he is a "Barrens Chat" veteran of WoW, lol, if you know what I mean.

Fixing and balancing are a lot different than "nerfing". Tuurgin and Rakurr were balanced.

I am still waiting patiently for mine to be addressed...

I don't have a problem with the fix, I did feel mighty powerful before and it was fun but I knew it wouldn't last, besides now I have more reason to use my bear pet which I love using just because I love being a pet class, I was getting tired of only being a fat bear that didn't fit anywhere!

The only gripe I do have is that we don't fit into the "tank" definition either, the AC on the bear form is minimal and my hp's are still very low since constitution is kinda gimped.. I would like a bump in AC and HP's, not near a real tank but at least so we can be tough like we're supposed to in bear form.

Your bear still works, although it is a bitter less effective. My Hayatet does not work worth a damn. Phoenix form is totally worthless as it gives me zero bonuses and bird is easily killed, very slow and very weak dot. Thats all. Really "good" patron...

So your problems are almost non-existent compared to Hayatet!
