Did the horse quest at level 5, am I doomed?

I just did the quest, and I was level 5, but I didnt get the horse. I never even thought they wouldnt give you one. I thought they would, but you couldnt use it until level 10. Now, im not sure if Im scewed or not? Anyone have this issue?
anyone know if you get it later?

You'll have to go back and finish the last stage when you reach level 10.

Yeah, one of the npc's (probably the last one you talked to.. thalk or whatever in neamsog bunker if you were in Khal) states that you can return at level 10 adventuring/crafting for another job, at the end of that job you get the horse. Maybe 100 diplo will do it too.

Thank god, I did this quest at around level 12 adventure, but I had already bought a 12sp horse. I used that instead of the provided diplo horse because it was faster. Initially, I had assumed that since I used mine instead of the the one provided, that was why it had poofed. I didn't realize that you had to do the second quest at around level 10 diplomacy (100 skill) in order to actually get the horse.
