Fortunately, everything else - including getting PKed while grinding - makes it well worth the wait.

There were helms a couple times. They sucked. The current implementation wasn't done as of the decision to release on Jan 31st, so it was put on hold. It's currently a low priority compared to many other things.

Given that fact I've been amazed at the lack of art as well. I mean in general, the quantity and quality of art for armor, weapons, etc. is sorely lacking and very inconsistent. When my "staff" is a skull and my "figurine" is a scepter and my other "figurine" is invisible I have to wonder what the hell they've been doing for 5 years.

You must be playing a different game because the art in this game is amazing.

While the landscape is nicely detailed, the armor art is sad to say the least. I can't tell you how dissapointed I am in the Blood Mage class garb and the fact I have to wear the same look as every other caster class robe image in the game. With all the white robes for casters we wear it looks like a KKK rally on a Saturday nite,,, no offence meant ,just joking.
How about some vests and jackets etc. At level 20 I look at auction and see sqaure root of nothing interesting yet my Pal toon has had 4 different BP's thus far to lvl 12??????

I've been waiting for helm graphics for many months now. They would make this game complete for me.
Buuuuuuuuuuuuuut......... fixing those enormous bugs is a little bit more important for the life of this game. ;)
And yes, I too wish for more detailed art on the armor and weapons, they are mostly all bland and boring.

Who says the two are mutually exclusive? It's unlikely any artists are tasked with fixing major bugs.

The world is awesome. The mob and character models are nice as well.Where it's lacking is variety in equipment models.
Your gloves are just your hand with a different color.Lots of models are recycled and they just change the color.Stuff like that.

Artists and designers are finishing up mid and high level content.

I don't care what they're working on now, it's still baffling that with so much time spent in development the art for equipment isn't more diverse. Don't get me wrong, there's a million possible explanations and I'm just going to play and wait, but it's surprising none the less.
