Hi friends,

Well, it's not really game breaking, but sending items to alts gets really costly from shipping fees.

Hopefully, in the next "big" patch there will be a few "shared" slots added for use by all characters on your account.

I can't wait,it's gonna be great for those of us who play more than one toon.

Thanks Vanguard :)

just use the mail?

I was hoping it will be something like in EQ 2.
At the bank there's a few storage spaces for all your chars.
Don't have to be too many.:)

Well, if it is not game breaking, they why did you say so. Kinda throws your arguement out the window, cause no one wants to hear an arguement where you start off trying to deceive your audience.

I personally am not going to read past the statement that I quoted above nor am I going to post any suggestions to your problem. Please, in the future, don't use deception to try to gain my attention, it's a sure fire way to get ignored.

are you two actually reading what he wrote? Or are you form the anti troll troll side. Someone says something not super super positiv about VG, you read just the topic and reply shitty comments. Talkin about Bob and Magy)

Actually shared slots would be really usefull to share equipment with alts.

Now go back to your cave.

I know exactly what your talking about (they added em around LDON for EQ as well as I recall), and they might do it. Its just not necessary really though, you can just use the mail?

If you've got the time to twink out your alts then you should have the money to pay for the shipping fees. :)

No im not trying to deceive anyone.

If you play on a pvp server,it is hell trying to do banking.
Usually i send cash to a level 1 that holds my money.
When i do have to use the bank i have to usually make sure recall is up
and usually have to recall from lower levels taking free shots at me for infamy.

I'm sorry, when you say Game Breaking in your title, and the first sentence is "Well, it's not really game breaking", you may not think you are deceiving your audience, but you are in fact doing so. I guess you just don't realize the consept of deceipt.

Have any of you every tried banking on a pvp server?
You don't have a lot of time!
I have a "starter" set .I use it for all my new chars. It costs a lot to mail it all,and it would be great if I had just a few shared slots in bank.
It would be super.
Thanks all for understanding

Hehe, I have to admit that when I first read the person's topic header, I thought to myself, "I bet somebody in the community is going to go nuts over that." You're the winner!

I really don't understand some people's need on these forums to try and get all antisocial over minor things. This is a GAME people. These are FORUMS FOR A GAME. Calling somebody deceitful over a post relating to a game is simpy ridiculous. In the time you spent harping on the way the person wrote his/her post (in fact you even posted twice saying basically the same thing!), you could have instead provided some insight on what you think about shared bank slots.

That being said, I think shared bank slots would be a bonus and I hope it becomes part of the game.

Hes not wrong though, its both untrue (which the OP admits in his opening statement) and its flame bait.

What the OP is talking about I dont think anyone cares much one way or other. Its not really important so not something they should really be worried about at the moment, but if they add this feature in the next six months or something I dont think anyone will complain. However, by hiding his thread behind an obvious "flame bait" title, I believe he will accomplish the opposite of what he intended (drawing Developer attention to his thread).

To be honest, I didn't really see that. All I could see is that the person wanted shared bank slots added in the next patch and then joked at himself in the message when he said it's maybe not so gamebreaking. What's flaming about it? He obviously considered it to be something important enough to speak up about. I don't understand the need on these boards to constantly attack people's opinions and be confrontational, especially when the person was just adding some humor in his post (see the smilies).

Thanks Mustang68

To be honest,it was flame bait somewhat...but i figured maybe someone of importance may read it ,and maybe it could help to get shared slots sooner than later (by the end of the year at least)This is a next gen game after all and i'm sure they plan on adding it sometime when more people begin to make serious alternate characters.

I just like experimenting with all the different options available and it's hard trying to figure out how much money i have to send along with the item so that my other char can actually receive it.Running around the mailbox dodging pks a few levels under you taking their free shots at infamy and my money WHILE doing math in my head for how much money i have to send along with the item,...so my alt can actually take the item from the mailbox ...ain't easy.

I will no longer joke and be very matter of fact from now on as not the mods but the forum police will soon arrest meh:)

Think of it as comparing your main toon to your wife or girlfriend.Eventually you get a little sick of her and want to try something new.:D
When that time comes i'm sure you'll all agree with me.

Now that i've said it,please let this thread die.

Adding shared bank slots makes sense, especially in a game like this where there are so many different options for players. As the game matures, more people will be playing multiple character and moving things like crafting resources around will become a big issue without shared slots.

The game also needs guild banks.

Guild banks are a great idea as well!

"Gamebreaking" is always flame bait becuase it implies, a broken game. This is even more true in light of VSOH today. When you make it the first word in your thread title and initcap it, it becomes more so. I never railed against him for it (if you look through the thread you will realize that) I was simply pointing out that it was not unreasonable for someone else to have.

ie the fact that Zipp did take issue with its use, doesnt make Zipp a mean-spirited, elitist-snob, vanboi.

Well, it's not game breaking, but the cost of sending items is very expensive.

In EQ and WoW I've always enjoyed trading, having trader alts etc - in fact a lot of the time I had more fun playing the market than getting down and dirty with mobs.

This game allows you to not adventure - to level as a crafter, or as a diplomat.

What it does not do, is cut much slack to people who wish to trade.

I personally don't want to have to go back to a city at the end of every session to put my sellable items on the broker.

I would like to be able to mail them to a trader alt - however the cost of the mail is currently more than a lot of the items are worth, meaning you either have to make the journey, or sell items to vendors for a few cp.

The other option obviously being shared bank slots.

I have spare character slots, so I'd like to use one for trading.

Don't start me on the max 10 items for sale at any one time..
