Tursh Newbie Dip Line - Stuck on Maldir (Spoilers)

I am at the part in the newbie line where you must capture the fiend. I went to the location in my journal (near the crafting area in Tursh), and waited until dusk when Maldir (the fiend) finally appeared amongst the chickens. Hailing him and right clicking does nothing, and right clicking the "box" for him does not work either (says I am not on the right quest: Memory Plant).

So I am wondering if it just needs a chunk/server restart, or if this is a bug introduced recently. Or if I am just doing something wrong :) Thanks.

I haven't done this quest line, so I don't know, but you might try asking in the diplomacy channel ingame (/join dip). That's usually where the most knowledgable diplomats hang out.

Thanks -- turned out that someone killed him, and now that he respawned he will parley with me.
