Ok, I play a PvE Dread Knight. I played Rogue-type classes in most all other games I've played and I really enjoy the PvP.
I want to start up a PvP Rogue just to try things out. Any of you have any pro's + con's you would like to share? Thoughts on Race/Class combo's, Racial abilities or even thoughts on PvP itself would be wonderful. I'd love to hear your opinion : )

I have a rogue, and at level 16, he's very wimpy, even with the best armor and weapons I could give him. On the PvE side, I can usually only handle a single 2-dot mob. I can handle two if I sap one of them first. 3-dots *always* kill me, even when they are 2-3 levels below me. That's frustrating.
My guy has lost most of his PvP battles, not because I'm unskilled, but mainly because he's got no way to heal himself during combat. I've fought Disciples, Paladins, and others, and no matter how many crits I hit against them, they inevitably heal right up. Meanwhile, there's only so long I can "dodge" their attacks, before I give up the ghost.
Casters really own me. They snare me (which I can't break), and then proceed to nuke me to death. I, on the other hand, have no way to snare them, and so I get kited all around the place until I die. Sometimes I can use Blinding Flash, which lets me stealth away, but again, stealth doesn't always seem to work properly, and most people can see right through it.
I'm not complaining, because Sigil has acknowledged that rogues need work, and I'm willing to tough it out for now. Stealth (when it works) is awesome, and at least gives me the option of sneaking (oh so slowly) away before the fight even starts.
I don't think it's right or fair that I can't kill players several levels lower than me. I'm supposed to be a DPS machine, but even when I get the advantage and get a good Ravage off, it doesn't do enough to cause any lasting pain. And once my stealth is broken, I'm really at a disadvantage.
I'm not entirely sure Sigil ever designed the rogue to be solo-friendly. I do *awesome* damage in a group, and almost never get un-stealthed. I just sit back and back-stab for the whole fight, and it's a lot of fun. And if we ever get an "add" or two, those adds go after everyone else, because they can't see me. So that's kinda' nice.
I hope that rogues get much love soon. I'm not looking to own the world, like a WoW-rogue might. But I would like more options during combat to give me some kind of chance.
Last night while stealthed, I watched a level 18 Disciple fight *four* other level 17 players at the same time. The battle lasted for about five minutes before they finally took him. In such a fight, my Rogue would've died in the first 30 seconds. It's for reasons like that, that I mainly stay out of populated areas, and just grind on mobs in the wilderness.

Thank you for sharing. I definitely needed that input. And the fact that the Rogue can hardly solo anyone is dissapointing :(
