Mine is still a lot of fun at 18.

What are your thoughts on using 2handers?
It's a fun class but things get a lot harder as you level up. There is a steep difficulty curve.
With all the nerfage and broken abilities DrK's are in need of some fixing/restoration at this point as they go up in levels.
I manage though =)

just got my DK to 24 last night... its a fun class... even with the nurf'd aoe i can still take 3+ mobs my lvl and come out with enough health for the next pull... in a group tanking more then 2 mobs is really tough for me, but others have said they don't have that problem.although as you lvl ur abilities like vexing strike becomes less and less useful. since i use a 2h gsword solo i do about 200 per hit against mobs my lvl, maybe 1 lvl lower, and vexing strike just doesnt add enough dmg. although it is like an extra hit you would normally have had.

Vexing isn't there for the damage so much as a quick way to raise your DC.
I find myself spamming it when other abilities are cooling down just for the chance at a crit so I can Wrack. If you hit it right after you swing normally it functions as a free swing with a little damage tacked on. Not too bad overall.
Truthfully my DK keeps getting more fun the more I level him up. So much so that's he on the cusp of taking over the "Main" title from my shaman. I never got to play with SoD when it was godly, but it doesn't seem to be too bad right now. It still heals me a pretty good amount, and does good damage to boot. I'll be happy when it's tweaked upwards, though.

I like using the 2handers a lot myself.
How I end up fighting is a lot determined by my gear at the time. Currently I have 2 different 2 handers that do 12.83 and 14.15 dps.
My One handed sword is only 9.05 DPS.
Given that MOST DPSers SUCK at agro mitigation on their own you are almost FORCED to use more dps yourself to compensate.
That means a lot of use of the Damage mitgation ability we have to make up for the lack of a shield.
I am not shy about switching out to a sword and board to get more opportunities to do the Bleak Foeman + Vengeance thing to buy time

lv 20 DK here. I'm using a 22 dps 1her and a crappy blue shield. Loving the class though, play exclusively as a tank role in groups. The thing about most dps classes is true though, alot of them dont manage aggro, although I was with groups today that did it fine all day long, never got aggro off me or offtank except for the random oddball situation. I really like the class, I love what Sigil has done with healers and tank classes. In alot of other mmos they aren't that fun to play, but my healer friend and I are really liking our classes, especially in groups.
You'll enjoy DK...we might not be as insane at solo'ing 3 doters, but we tank quite well and are very fun to play.

24 Dread Knight, Fun class to play and i have had little problem tanking with my Qalthari ( racial ftw ), As others have said we are kinda broken at the moment but we can do our job with a bit of player skill and knowing how your class works. Some of the nerfs have hit us hard though so if you are looking for a solo pwn mobile this won't be the class to choose. I currently have The axe of ruin from lord tsung's and enjoy gettin 1k chains with DC3 up and running and will pull it out when clearing trash in a group and smack the mobs for anywhere up to 2K standard crits. as for Solo'n it pays to be attentive to what type of mob you are fighting, sometimes sword and board are better than that 2hand weapon of pwn.
As a side note i can't stress how important strength will be to your character, i would suggest trying to max it as quickly as possible, you will already be getting 9% crit with you dread count debuff at 20 so not imperitive that you max out Dex for a increase crit parry chance.

I have a level 21 DK that I parked after the last update- if I had to venture a guess I'd say they lost about 35% efficacy overall; insomuch as I could no longer fight my way out of the environment I'd been leveling him through prior to the patch.
I went back to playing a warrior class- absolutely zero flash, but at least I know what to expect, and I won't lose any sleep wondering if I'll be playing the same basic character tomorrow that I am today.
