Well i gave the game a shot for almost 3 weeks. i will not pay a monthly fee for this game not at the moment.

My top personnel issues with the game. Not in any particular order.

1. Its always night. (90% of the time). How can i enjoy these so called stunning graphics when its always dark. The color wears on you and you get bored of it fast.

2. Constant memory leaks that make it it virtually unplayable at times.


3. Sigil clamims they have 100k members now. Anytime I do a player search in game looking for more players it only show like 45 total players. Where are the other 999,960 players?

4. I had to buy a new video card because my Nvida 6600 would play the game and after the first patch they still didn't fix the issue.

5. Auction house sucks. I put 4 blue items and listed them for super cheap because they were not selling and they still didn't sell. I guess when you only have 40 people looking at them chance on them selling are slim.

I could list about 20 more issues. The bottom line here in my OPINION is we have a game here that was suppose to set the bar high for all mmos to come and now they have just lowered it.

I deleted the game and canceled my account. ill give it another go in about 6 months after they work out some of the bugs.

1. Adjust your gamma up.

2. Never had a problem with a memory leak so I can't comment on it.

3. You only did a search for that zone. Telon is 2300 square kilometers so there are more zones then the one you're in. ;)

4. Upgrades are the nature of the beast. You would have had to have upgraded anyway with the newer games coming out for the PC.

5. Every item I have placed on the broker has sold. You just have to figure out which items are hot and which ones aren't. :)

3. 45 people? What server are you on? On Hilsbury there are that many people Crafting in Khal at any given time.

5. Just because it's blue does not make it a good item. Also Cheap is a subjective term. What may be cheap to you may not be cheap to someone else. Also which is it 40 people or 45 , you seem to be contradicting yourself.

The reason your showing 45 players is because the search caps itself at about 45 members, lessen your search criteria or check station players to get more acurate results. Also it is not 90% of the time night time ofcourse it has almost equal amounts of time It must just be your play times and nights really dont last that long. You can still up your gamma anyway. ;) Anyway sorry to see you disappointed enough to leave, come back when things improve. :D

the devs have posted quite a bit on this whole issue of "5 chances" and the current release. sadly, as has been said before by many, money talks, sometimes you've just got to run with what you've got. lots of jobs are like this. if you don't understand that now you will, unless you plan to stack shelves for the rest of your life.

If you really want to see bigger numbers of who's online, use the "/who all" variation of /who, or add "count" to the end to see numbers past 40. For example:

/who all ranger count
/who all 10 15 count

Just doing "/who lfg" will only show you who is looking for a group in your current zone. "/who all lfg" will show up to 40 people lfg, "who all lfg count" will not show the names, but will show you a count of up to 200. Oh, and a good majority of the other 99k are on other servers. The others on your server are either happily in a group already, happily soloing, or just don't feel like using the lfg flag.

there were some major issues with that game but what really didn't help it was a player base as negative as is appearing for VG on some of the forums atm.

Yeah, next patch is supposed to fix these.

it only shows like 45 total players.

I think those are the players in your immediate area only.

If I search for members in my really big guild, it will only show the few who are close to me. Not sure why that is.

This may be a marketing thing by Sigil, but greens are typical and blues are common. Rare stuff is yellow.

I lost 30%+ exp last night to a famer crashing our zone over and over and you come back and die, then it death loops you and you keep losing exp with no corpse because you never released yet. but hey they fixed it today they say. Its buggy but its really fun.

Ok those 5 reasons are bad. and 3 of them arent even true.

1. You can adjust your gamma...fixed.....

2.Memory leaks have been patched. And will continue to be.

3.there is over 100k subs, and searchs are limited by not only 40. but to server. Ofcourse you wont pull up 100k in search, this was a bad reach by you, running out of reasons?

4. Oh you had to buy a new video card to play the latest high end graphic computer game...big surprise. Silly technology getting better, how dare them.

5. 2nd worst of the bunch, broker is fine, not auction house(you must be another wow whiner). I sell things all the time. Perhaps your blues arent in demand, some items just because they are "blue" doesnt make them sell like hot cakes.

Just thought I'd point this part out. I call everything, broker or auction house, an auction house. I just learned it from FFXI and stuck with it. It's essentially the same thing. Just because he called it an auction house doesn't mean he got it from WoW.

2. The fixed the memory leaks in todays patch. Also, the game was released unfinished because they ran out of money for development. They are working furiously to complete the game as we speak. Look at today's patch message for more information on that.

3. I usually find more than 40 (40 is the max you can show with the /who command) in one zone. Don't know why you are seeing only 45 people total on your server. Are you sure you are using the command right. Also, you assumption about all the subscriptions being on at once is very far from the truth. It is a generally accept rule amoung mmo's that at any given instant of time, the average number people you'll have on is about 1/5 of the total subscription base.

4. I have a 3200+ XP (32 bit machine) with 1GB of memory and a 6600 AGP card in it. I do not have any troubles at all playing the game on it. Of course, it doesn't look as pretty as when I am playing on my 4000+ 2GB 7950GX2, but it is plays just fine on the low settings. Maybe you should go to Sony's tech support forums and ask the people there for some advice on how to get your machine going.

5. I usually sell my stuff in Kojan. The Orcs and Goblins are not well liked throughout the world and they are always looking for gear. You can usually sell at a higher rate in Kojan.

I am sure in 6 months, you well see a very good game. Right now it's a bit rough, but it's much better now then it was upon release and is bound to be much better in a few more months. Keep in mind, a MMO is never really complete. There were bugs in EQ1 that existed for months and months before they were squashed (anyone remember the west bug and the bug where you would crash to desktop when you approached certain spots in MPG or Anguish? :) ). Bottom line, yes, it's rough, but if you give it some time, you will find that the game will shine in the near future. I'm having so much fun now that I can overlook the bugs. But I am sure that Sigil realizes that if they don't fix this game fast, they will wear out even the die hards like me.

Some people have machines filled up with clutter and spyware etc and don't realize it, I used to be one of those until I dated a guy who taught me how to take care of a computer right.

Now my computer is so healthy it works out every morning (ok it just defrags itself)

But anyway, people need to realize that computers are in need of care too, if you leave a car with no oil change and no care it will stop running as good.

Same with computers.

Sorry you didn't enjoy it, give it another try in 6 months.

1. I'm not sure, it seems like it's day 50% of the time and night 50% of the time for me.

2. No clue about memory leaks, I guess I don't go out and monitor my memory while I'm playing.

3. The 100k is divided among several servers, not everyone is in the same area, and also not everyone is on at the same time you are. The 45 players you found is probably just people in the area you were in.

4. I agree, the performance of the graphics are pretty bad. I constantly have to type /flush to make the game playable again. I would have bought a new video card, but when people with 8800's are still having lag makes me think I should just save my money.

5. As far as auction house goes, I'm level 12 and still haven't found the auction house.

Bottem line is this game is still way more fun than any game on the market and will continue to play it despite it's current flaws.

It's not Vanguard, it's certain people in all MMO communities that are this way. You point me to a MMO community and i can easily find just as many assholes in any of the games.

First off you sniffling whinning little troll from WoW. The game is playing fine with me. Just like any other MMO that comes out and luanches there are bug and glitches. I was there for EQ2 luanch and it was bad. I had freinds that was there for the WoW luanch and it was bad.

My freinds use to tell me that WoW was herific that you played 6 hours tops and the servers where down for 14 hours everyday. I bet you had a bug up your you know what ever since the game luanched and your was exspecting it to be a landslide of a game that you could be lvl 50 in a months time, Guess what boywonder it's not.:yell:
