Well this is my first post on here so tried looking but couldnt see anything about this
I was wondering if any of the devs had any thoughts on this spawn issue
i dont mind the spawns rate but what i do dislike is fighting my way through an area suddenly to have 5 mobs spawn on top of me and attack straight away:p
I wonder if there is any chance we could have a few seconds to scream and panic before getting cut to ribbons by multiple mobs we can just about handle 1 on 1 :rolleyes:
Also how about implementing Hate as it is in FFXI so mobs higher than you will KoS but mobs that are too low for you to obtain XP wont KoS (just because they naughty doesnt mean they are crazy:D )

Yeah, Vanguard is like that.
You can take advantage of the high respawn rate.
Get a bow and get some flight arrows. Stand in a safe spot and pull the mobs to you.
You won't have to move!
By the time you kill one mob, another has respawned in it's place.

Yeah.. I agree with you about the spawning. It can't be intended, except for when it is obviously part of some out of the ordinary encounter, so I expect it to get fixed eventually.

It would be nice if either:
a) Monsters would not spawn if there were any players within a certain range of their spawn point.
or
b) When monsters spawn within a certain range of a player that player gets the immunity buff you get when you log in after a crash. Since it breaks on movement this certainly wouldnt save everyone, but it would help in cases when folks are just trying to chat about something or the like.
It is annoying having things spawn right ontop of my toon.

I'd prefer a slightly more staggered respawn, so there would be maybe 20-30 seconds between each mob respawning. This would give people a chance to either move or get ready for a fight.

Mobs don't aggro once you're 10 levels higher than them and you don't step directly on them. I think there are some exceptions to this, but this has been my observation.
