I'm not talking about going deep dungeon exploring and losing your corpse because you can't fight to it. I am talking about your tombstone dropping through the world, or going ld, coming back and not having a tombstone marker and no clue where you ran for your ld time.
How about the devs remove the xp loss for summoning your corpse? I know this will be abused by some who are too lazy to do a cr and just want to summon thier corpse and be done with it.... but it will remove the problems of lost corpses until the devs can fix this problem.
I don't really even feel like loggin in tonight because I know I have 20% less xp (at 24) because of lost underworld corpses.

What do you think the ratio between legitimately lost corpses vs the amount of abuse of this program would be? Do you really think that lost corpses are an everyday thing for all players or do you want to have your problem fixed with no experience loss?

Tombstone/Travel Journal Fix
The issue where players who have tombstones log out, then log back in only to find that they no longer have tombstone locations in their travel journal will be fixed with the next server restart.
So as of now, it should be fixed.

Lol
They should introduce the 'Locate Corpse' spell just for nostalgia. Not like it worked all the great even in EQ1.

I have 2 corpses out there right now... I know where they are... they're just more than 400 feet below the world so I can't target or /corpse it.

You're better off just summoning your corpse and running a couple of simple tasks (aka quests) or missives.. You'll get more than enough xp to recover what you lost from the lost tombstone. In the time you spend worrying about things, you could get 10% xp.

It is not fixed. This happened to me this morning in fact. Went LD while running away from a spider and came back to find I had died, couldn't find tombstone anywhere. No corpse marker in log. So lost two bubbles and had to summon. This has happened to me about 3 times in the last two days.

Why wouldnt it be serious...
Why should the player get punish because the game doesnt work right. Alot of people are very careful, but the game does crash. And when those moments come your character for whatever reason likes to run very far and into sometimes tough mobs.
I dont know if I like the summon corpse for free idea. But something should be done. Maybe have an NPC near the res stones who can "locate" your corpse and give you a waypoint --- like guards in cities.

Yeah the other day was brutal ...
It was bad enough to die two times in less than an hour due to a bug (hidden mobs :( ) ... but then to loose my corpse by having it fall through the world both times.
I was so mad I nearly canceled right then and there.

I am not sure it can even be added to the game but eq1 had a rod with 3 charges tha would at least point in the direction to the body.
If the game can't put your location on the map does that mean
there is NO record of its locations ?
People in eq1 had a hot key that would make a log entry of the current location when you thought your were going to die.
If we did something like this for Vanguard - IS there a a way
to use that location point as a waypoint ??
Because of the crashing and going LD you will not have time to hit the location hot key so you will need to add a /location to a ability you use a lot.
Sounds like we need a /find location of (dead) target command.
