How does infamy work? Sometimes infamy changes, sometimes it doesn't. Does anybody know how exactly infamy works?

This is true for Varking. Not entirely sure if it holds true for Frengrot and Tharridon

When you kill a player within range (20% or so) you receive 15% of their coin and 10% of their infamy.

As it stands now, Infamy is nothing but a number.

the way I see it ( or rp it), on varking, if I see a goodie with a high number of infamy, usually 300+, I think of him as a serial killer, or a most wanted character, and try to bring some justice by killing him a few times.

But I think infamy was supposed to have a system or something.

There was talk of a system like this, hopefully someday it will see the light of day.

Yeah I use that too. If I see an enemy near my level with ~100 Infamy, I view them as a newbie as far as PVP is concerned. I ignore them as a threat and also view them as a very easy kill :)

well the infamy system is broke.. dots and pets do not give you credit for your kills and make it a little bit hard to get any infamy at all for some classes :)

Question is the kill counted by who gets the last hit or does the most damage?

If he is still in my target window, and dot kills him I get points. If he is out fo range and died, no points.

Aww that's too bad, would have really liked to get some infamy from sealing someone's fate :D

Hi all:

I hope that infamy has an impact in the game in a near future. As an example, most infamy = most hate from NPC guards of any faction, that is, if you have a lot of infamy you're a "serial killer", so guards see you as a public enemy.

I think that actually PvP is a bit forced in Vanguard, a PvE designed game, and need to be revamped so PvP mechanics goes better than actually does.

Sorry by my poor english.

Laters.

Heinz.
