View Full Version : Thank you for the double XP weekend
Unlike the "hardcore" here, I would like to thank Sigil for understanding this month has been a struggle for us all. From dealing to broken quests to even being REROLLED a level or two. Granted it is kinda good timing considering our free trials end soon, none the less it is a great gift. Please ignore the incessant whining from the EQ Fanbois, and apparently Girls who insist on taking a year to get a level (Its called exageration get used to it).
I truly appreciate this gift as what it is, a gift. I will not complain about it, I will take my time and use it to my full advantage. I will probably only be able to use it for one day, but in that one day I expect to make a level if not 2.
Despite the flames that may follow from people who tend to use colors because they have to be soooo different then the rest of us, 90% of the people who do not read or post on message boards will appreciate this. 90% of the people who say they do not want an xp gain, I GURANTEE will be on 24/7 this weekend taking full advantage. I would put money on it.

Thanks also Sigil, I'm glad your doing this. :)
Thank you also Sigil.
I was on the verge of giving up, but this has at least encouraged me to stick around for another couple of months and give the game a chance.
It at least shows me that Sigil *IS* listening to someone besides the WOW haters.

I have not had much in the way of problems with experience or rollbacks etc. The biggest bug I have run into is the changing appearance. But I do understand a lot of folks have had problems. So as a one time thing it is ok, I do not want to see this on a regular basis, only after major fubars effecting lots of players.

This is only about getting people to resub at the 30 day mark.

Agree completely. Its very nice to see that they listen to more than just the people bi***ing about how easy this challenging and fun game is.

The tell me...what is challenging in this game? Getting all three spheres at max? Not really challenging only takes time. But this isnt just vanguards problem, i think their isnt one mmorpg that challenges people, all of them need 1 thing, time invested.

Watch for me. I won't be out adventuring AT ALL. I will probably do my crafting, but won't kill a single mob. Turned 18 last Saturday and I will be 18 THIS coming Sunday night. I will work on 19 sometime during midweek when exp is still to fast for me, but at least not double.
Enjoy yourselves.

Sweet, way to take it like a man (or woman?). Now if all the other event haters would just do the same...

I will be crafting mostly this weekend. One is the xp-whoring, two dungeons will be packed because people want to whore xp. Only fun thing will be dropping down trains in them and see the chat..sniff to good old eq1 days. And before you attack me..i wont be doing it and never done it but fighting trains is the best fun possible

Jesus, you spent time philosophizing on a toilet, came up with that nugget of knowledge, and now you're going to run it into the ground. Am I correct in this assumption?
Back to the topic at hand, it is a nice gesture by Sigil, because they didn't have to do anything if they didn't want to. I've been very impressed with this group because they show that they do care about their player base and are trying to do everything in their power to make the game enjoyable, while make amends for releasing an unfinished product. I've seen too many companies with an "F you" attitude, so this is a breath of fresh air, regardless if you like or dislike the action.

Though I can appreciate the "thank you" sentiment expressed in this thread, we've got one thread going on the double xp weekend topic already :)
