I never use this ability since it doesn't seem to work when I use it. When I try to use it, I get an error message saying invalid target.

Being a monk I hardly steal aggro from a tank a couple levels below me, but when I do I'd like to have another tool to use beside goading slap. When I try to use it on casters/rangers and it still gives me an error message.

Anyone else experience this and found a way to get this ability to work? Can this be used on yourself?

Target the ally that has the mob aggro'd on them, use Waning Palm to pull aggro off. IE: Healer, but if the tank is doing their job never really have to use this.

Works like a rescue.

Well for me i can get the ability to function but it never seems to actually do anything... of course i guess it is not like a real taunt

It's a deaggro, so basically you need to spam it until the mob aggros onto you.

If I am pulling off a tank/another dps it takes about 4 - 6 Waning Palms in order to do so.

Also since the monk is 3rd currently in DPS standing of the offensive fighters, only in front of the bard and WAY behind the 1st-rogue and 2nd-ranger, I don't think I have used this ability more that twice...EVER. To me this is a very useless ability. If heaven forbid we ever steal agro because of raw damage and need to rid of it, use goading slap on your defensive target or FD and agro transfer, much better tactic!

The ability activates when your defensive target is under 25% health. To me this is kind of a healer save ability as you wouldn't really want to draw aggro from a tank and the other offensive fighters can tank just as well as us.... so its an ability to save a healer or a squishy caster. If it activates under 25% health how many spams do you think you can get off before that said healer or squishy is dead.. IOW its a pretty useless skill. If you have to spam it 6 times to get it off an already under 25% health party member, the party member would be dead.
