A group of us had been working on the quests in the Fallen Lyceum recently, and last night we completed the event to kill Ghaldrid. When we turned in our key pieces to Titania, however, we found that most of the item rewards did not match up with our respective classes. Our disciple got a dps caster staff, and our paladin got a medium armor healer tunic, for example. The items were terrific, but since they were soulbound, most of it was pretty much useless to us. Is this intended?
I can understand having the rewards be soulbound, to prevent it from being dominated by farmers, but I'd think there would be a better way to dole out the rewards while still making it soulbound, such as giving the player the ability to select from a few choices. I also noticed on the item descriptions that it says "required flags: killed Ghaldrid," so another option could be to make the stuff tradable only to people who have met that requirement.
We had a blast doing the Fallen Lyceum overall, and I'd do it again in a heartbeat, but it would have been nice, after all the time and questing we did there, to have been able to walk away with items that matched our classes. It makes me almost wish I had refused Titania's request. (I probably will next time anyway, just out of curiousity)
Any feedback on this is appreciated!
