I'm not 100% educated on how this works but I believe you can currently charm a mob and it has the same damage output against plays as it would against mobs?

If that's the case, being able to charm a 4 dot mob and sic it on players is a bit overpowered. Just.. a tad. I would suggest balancing this by nerfing NPC damage against players when charmed equivalent to as if it were a necro or druid pet or something.

If this is the case, the dots need to be counted as an extra resist chance and extra levels on the monsters, not just solely the absolute monster level regardless of dot-level.

I dont know, it does sound as if it would be a bit overpowered, but at the same time, charming mobs is always quite risky. Scaling it all the way down to necro pet power would make it not worth the risk, because unlike a necro pet, your charmed mob could turn on you any second. I imagine that like all pets, charmed mobs are still doing full damage in pvp. Maybe when they get scaled back with the other pets it wont be so bad. Maybe they should get scaled back a little more than normal pets.

Charming pets currently has no risk whatsoever. It has a fixed duration. You can re-charm it forever.

Dunno if Id call it no risk. Talking from a Psi point of view, you can "long term" charm a mob, but it has a chance to break every 20 (i think) seconds. Or you can short term charm a mob for 20 secs, but after it breaks it cant be charmed again.

If Im fighting with a high pet, I know sure as hell I dont want it breaking, few hits and Im toast.

Psi Charm has a chance of breaking once every 20 seconds with a maximum of 5 minute duration (at higher level). Charming a 4-dot mob certainly doesn't make it likely to hang around for very long and it will break often... and it often breaks while you're in combat (very inconvenient).

Just FYI... before you start calling for nerfs on things you don't understand.
