View Full Version : PvP loot coin / infamy
I know its not a big issue, I know there is a lot more important stuff to fix, but, what really bothers me is the lack of ability to learn from previous MMOs mistakes.
I am shaman on PvP teams server. I kill paleskins. I kill them every day. Being a shaman means im using DoT damage to kill, as well as dd and melee.
Why the hell dont I get any loot and infamy when the final hit that actually kills the toon is my DoT? It does not make any sense, its not logical and it really ruins my playstyle, to sum it up - very unfair!
I fought vs. 3 guys yesterday. I managed to keep 2 of them rooted while i killed healer, than I killed other 2 guys, but I got no loot at all, because it was DoT that killed them. . .no, its not because they did not have any money or infamy, I checked with them later in tells.
So i managed to kill in 1vs3 situation and I get no reward, because someone was stupid enough to make my DoTs dmg not count as final blow. Some people will never learn from previous mistakes.
This is just one example that bothers me, but there is whole lot of other problems that did not have to be there if the responsible people learned from the past.

because currently dots and pets dont give you the killing blow count. Its a bug.
To add: they wont really fix it because sigil said they dont really care about pvp problems untill they work out the other stuff.. such as bugs that affect pve.

So I guess these PVP fixes in yesterday's patch don't count?

Enabled the option to release spirit and spawn at altar or bind point on PVP death. Releasing to altar drops a corpse, releasing to bind does not. All other aspects of the rulesets remain the same.

those were being exploited. theres a difference. And it wasnt just pvp, instances of pve deaths were having similar issues. Who knows why they decided to single it out as pvp only.

just do what i do, make sure you know how much damage your dots do and at the last sliver of hp he has left nuke/hit/range him. My 22 psi is doing that right now, and works for now. Then again we have a no casting time nuke so maybe shamans dont ahve one, but there must be a way to get the last hit if correctly calculated.
