You might be right. Vanguard Radio might also be checking to see how server down and up time affects their subscribership.

the servers are down due to the servers kicking random people off the game, if you are affected by this im sorry and it will hopefully be fixed shortly, if you are not affected by this, this message will self-destruct in 5 seconds.

as close as i could get it from the radio message.
