What I am seeking:
1. A guild that does not use voice channels. I have a wife and my computer is in our bedroom and she gets quite annoyed when I am speaking to my guildies. I thought it was more annoying when I typed but she says no the constant talking is worse.
2. A guild that plays alot in the Eastern U.S. timezone. I live in Florida and would like to be on when the majority of rest of guild is on so we can help each other doing quest and just having some fun grind sessions.
3. A guild that understands the importance of family first. I have a wife and 2 children and they come first in my life. I will try and dedicate time aside for big quest runs and raids usually during the weekends.
4. A guild that does not take it's self or it's members to seriously. I have a job and I don't need another. I play Vanguard to have fun. :)
Ok now for a bit of info on me:
As stated I am married and have 2 children.
I am 44 years old.
I play on average 3-4 hours a day. A little more on weekends.
I have played EQ, EQ2, DAoC, CoH, AO, Ryzom, Horizons and EVE.
In EQ I was a guild co-leader and was responsible for setting up guild events. (Kithicor at night anyone?)
In EQ2 I was a guild co-founder.
Once a month I am subject to being on emergency call-out and my gaming is very limited during that week.
My present main is a druid which I have finally decided to dedicate myself to. He is level 13 at the moment. I like to explore and craft a bit to much I think. :)
That's about it. I know it seems a bit pushy to be asking for some of the things posted above and this from a person seeking a guild but I figure if there is a guild like what I am looking for it would be better for me to join them than keep joining other guilds only to find we are not seeking the same goals.
Plus I tried to be as honest as possible with my time schedules so I also don't waste a guilds time because I don't meet their goals in the game.
I hope there is a guild out there for me. I would start one but I sincerely believe that in order for a guild to be strong it has to have dedicated leaders and I at this time can not put forth that type of dedication.
Oh and one last thing, size of guild is not that important. If it is a good guild, with good people it will grow over time.
