I wonder if Vanguard will spawn a successfull indigenous comic series similar to WTF or GU comics. Not to slight either of those fine stips but is there room in todays MMOG world for startup dedicated strips? Are there already seeds of such out there?

Inquiring minds want to know....
I'm betting some of the existing comic strips just shift focus once Vanguard is released, at least I hope so. I can't imagine there being room for yet another, but who knows?

There's always room for folks to read 'em. :) Whether there's room for such a comic to develop such a devoted following that they can retire their day job and make comics full time...that's iffy.
In truth, I think the real drawback to it is that anyone making a webcomic based on someone else's world cannot overtly make any money off of it for copyright reasons. That's why WTF, for example, is considering starting something new that is not set in Norrath.

Isn't there some loophole in the law related to satire that they could use?

I've always wanted to make my own little web-comic. For fun, of course. If I ever become smart enough (or purchase a scanner), I'll let you guys know :)
Can anyone reference me to one of those nifty computer tablets used in conjuction with Adobe photoshop? They sound pretty cool...

There is no doubt in my mind there will be a few comics pop up. Hopefully though, they wont all be compltely satirical, ie. WTFcomics.

Having just read through the entire archive (I havent read them before ... yep all 240 of them) I can only say I hope so.
WTF is fantastic! Most of the jokes survive the fact I never played EQ, and its nice seeing all the places people talk about. :)

If I could find a place to host em, maybe the Telon Times might make a comeback. The first Vanguard dedicated web comic.

A bit offtopic, but wouldn't it be great if someone set up TelonTimes.com and ran it as a new site, keeping track of all servers, watching all guilds, with articles about the games and all sorts. An online newspaper for Vanguard players to keep track of the community and all other things Vanguard. :)
