EverQuest Celebrates It's 8th Birthday

On the 16th March 1999, Brad McQuaid, Steve Clover, Bill Trost and John Smedley released EverQuest. Published by SOE and developed by Verant, EQ was originally expected to last two expansions at best. At worst, it could have sank like a stone.

Well, thank god it didn't.

While the majority of the gaming public ignored the beary weirdy freaks with their talk of dragons and dps, the world of Norrath continued to grow and expand, attracting new faces and seeing old ones SOW off into the distance.
