Hugo Heartsworn

I investigated someone around Southwatch yesterday and they had a really nice looking necklace gifted by Hugo Heartsworn for killing the bandit leader. Myself and a cleric friend invis'd down there yesterday and took her out fully expecting a quest item to drop, which it did and seeing as I'd already done the quest line he offers as far as getting the yellow single hand caster item with int and sdf i thought that this would be it done.

But the scroll doesnt activate a quest and Hugo doesnt have anything to say much either about the subject, so can someone tell me how to get ahold of that juicy necklace?!?! I think it may be something to do with not actually completing the last part where Old lady sparrow wassername and those two bandits turn on you, I completed the quest but didnt kill them.

The neck reward you speak of is not related to the 2 scrolls that drop from the 2 NPCs inside the dungeon, and I don't know what they are for either ...

During the "rescue" of Oldwoman Sparrow - you have an opportunity to run away and report to Lord Hugo or fight the 3 mobs, if you kill the 3 mobs you get a drop that starts another quest which is just talking to Lord Hugo and that is how you receive the necklace reward. (I can't recall if only need to kill the "main" mob to get the drop.) Also once the rescue goes south the mobs will come for whoever is the initiater of the rescue regardless of distance or bring inviso'd.

The mobs will turn yellow and remain invalid target to anyone but the initiater/group of the rescue, so if you die you can run back. You can then lull the mobs to pull one at a time, BUT they are VERY VERY hard even one at a time...

At anytime you can run away and come back later to find Oldwoman Sparrow back at her house if you want another crack at her, but you can't go talk to Lord Hugo in the meantime cause that ends the quest line.

Oh ya I almost forgot - if you have completed the whole quest line, and participate at killing the mobs at the rescue you will get the drop to go talk to Lord Hugo, but obviously you can't start the encounter to rescue her again.

OK thanks for the help. So in essence because I completed the quest without killing the two bandits (which wiped us in no time) I can't get the necklace?

I can't even go back and try again? As I know that even now I can still offer her escort where the bandits appear so maybe it's still retrievable?



Anyone know what the scroll is for that I got from named mob on wooden platform in redsparrow caves?

You can go back and get the necklace BUT you have to find someone doing the escort thing to start that part of the quest.
