One suggestion: I logged on via Media Player and enjoyed the talk about the forum and beta. But I logged on three minutes late and have no idea who is talking. Perhaps, instead of so many pronouns, you can use names to let the audience know who is discussing. Not constant, but every ten minutes or so use actual names. I know Fozzik is on IRC and Sunwolf is a sleepyhead, but no idea who is talking.

Just some good ol'fashioned discussion really. I think they said they'd post the show later.

I'd have liked to have gotten in there and gone a round with them about the casual vs hardcore stuff.

<puts up her fists and bounces around the ring>

I agree, names would have been nice, you guys all sound the same! :) Overall it was a good show though!

EDIT: OH yes the pumpkin issue...that's another thing we'd have fought over! :p

Ya , very good call on the names idea..the speakers where .

Chrovax , NeoBix, SirGillam, and guest speaking this week was Elrar. But we will deffinatley use names from now on. Please keep the ideas flowing, we are always listening and willing to take constructive critisism.

Thanks, see, we need to know who to ostricize for the pie comment. I think Elrar made a good save. ;)

Agreed, good save. I have a feeling these anti-pie folk are the same sort who laugh at Chris Farley singing "fat guy in a little coat.."

Since when do jokes have to be good to be worthwhile? ;)

Lol..Well i hope all you pie lovers write in on the irc channel next sunday and voice your concerns. We plan on opening up a Q and A session with the audience. I hope to hear from many of you.

When do they go off the air? I was tryin to listen in at 9:21 PST on the west coast, and it was off the air.

I've never listened to a gamer's radio show before.

What about a bit of light background music? It works well in other shows. Or, maybe just for certain periods of the broadcast, i.e. Q&A?

SirGillam
10-23-2005, 11:37 PM
lol..well....Elrar and Valen are the producers, so there the people to discuss that with. But i hope we find all the different tricks to make the show better for future episodes.

Well don't feel y'all need to plan these things thoroughly. When I used to listen to Leonai_art's radio shows (before they became IGE), she would interact a lot with the irc folks and draw topics from whatever they were saying at the time. It was cool.

I didn't download the irc program for this one, but I might for next time. Good show. I much prefer hearing live discussions to reading threads...though it sucks when you join the discussion via irc and watch as your comments get lost in a flurry of chatter.

Thats a great idea. I will be sure to bring that up in our next meeting. I also would like to include the audience alot more in the coming shows.

Well, if you do, be sure to publish the irc log along with the radio file after each show...or those who missed will really be lost. =P

I just want to publicly apologize to Chrovax, NeoBix, SirGillam, Elrar, Valen, Silky Venom, and all the listeners for failing to show tonight. Ironically, if anything, the cause of my absence can be chalked up to a lack of sleep. I suffer from insomnia and in my rather fuzzy state of mind I completely forgot that the show started at 8:30 PM EST instead of my local 8:30 PM MST, so I ended up logging on, ready to go, close to an hour after the show ended. Unfortunately, that's just an excuse and I've never been one to rely on excuses for things going wrong. The fault was entirely mine and I take full responsibility for totally missing the proverbial boat.

That all being said, I just finished listening to the download, and I must say I wasn't missed; the show went brilliantly and I congratulate my friends on a fantastic production. I'm going to dedicate this next week to, among other things such as flirting with strange women and abusing my President both verbally and in text, making sure that I make next week's show. I look forward to recieving hate mail from those I inadvertently offend, as well as the inevitable flood of fan mail from da ladies. :D

Oh yes! I've absolutely been working on my Lorenzo Lamas impersonation! As one of the cheesiest television stars of the past quarter century or so, he's made an impression on my life the likes of which has rarely been seen before.

Tune in to the next show to experience the glory and the majesty that is my Lorenzo Lamas impersonation!
