All right just finished the wardship quest lines and I will have to admit after spending a month --yes a month!!-- doing this quest line I have to say after a wave of shifting emotions hate/anger/euphoria the end feeling simply... wow =)

This quest mad eme want to punch a wall st times and there were so many varied timesinks/camps/grinds that at times I asked myself wtf am I doing this for but when all has been said and done the wardship line is exactly what quests in games like this should be. That is, a balance between total frustration and euphoria (mainly form items earned). speaking for the tank stuff most of it is welll balanced for the effort involved although a few pieces could use upgrade but i am sure that leaves room for future quests.

In short, whoever created this questline did a great job ... KUDOS!! Hope there are more quests like this in the game ... basically if you play a game like this to easy is bad and to hard with no reward is bad this questline seems imho to be for the most part just what makes people like me play these kinds of games.

For those of you who havent started prepare for an EPIC journey with interesting locals and challenging monsters at times you might want to remove sharp objects from your room as thought sof suicide dance in your heads =) but all in all you will at the end of the quest line leave feeling you have accomplished something and with a much deserved sigh of relief =)

Hey could you maybe reset the item exchange lots of us mistook the second quest line as an actual bonus quest and didnt realise that the item was to be exchanged ... i am fine with my choice but I know few peopel who mistakenly exchanged their first choice by accpeting the second quest...

Anywho again KUDOS!!

You can see all the wardship quests and rewards here http://vg-en.curse-gaming.com/database/quests/1/sort-by/level/name/?chunk=75. Looks like they have quests all the way above level 40.

Seriously, that's some of the best looking armor I've seen.

Question is, did you finish just the armor or stay to upgrade the ancient weapon too? That's the hard part.

There is a lot more of this sort of thing coming too. We're not planning on stopping anytime soon.

How anyone can have fun with this line is beyond me. It's 90% trying to get a group, and then on top of that needed luck that if by chance that a mob is up, and by chance drops a rune that you need, that you might win at the roll to get it. That's not fun.

Elidroth, If there is more of this crap coming, please spare us and throw it in the garbage. Grinding is something that Brad promised would be signifcantly reduced compared to other games, but 30+ I have seen nothing but it.

I agree fully, grinding sucks, Is this Vanguard or Grindfest 2.0.

I would rather see dynamic content, something challengeing but not having to kill the same mob over and over for updates, Bernaid hills quests were good, you had to fight to the named mobs, camping so many insigs was kinda lame, should have been few more quests in there to get more of the insigs without grinding.

Why not have some decent faction wars, npc vs npc where u have to help them fight back, wow had some fun type of quests but the game was to easy, but the quests were at least entertaining. Maybe add some real quests and stop copy and pasting the same ole crap into the game =( this could be a good game if all the copy and paste dungeons were itemized and there was more of a story associated with them.
Please keep this game from dieing and get rid of the grind, add long quests thats cool, make certain parts of it dangerous, make it difficult but dont make it grinding, please! I really like this game and will stick thru it for as long as possiable but first of all we are rushed to higher lvls with the double xp weekends, then when we get to the 40+ range there is nothing but crappy quests for coin, mobs that drop stuff that give +1 vit +1 dex +4 const, (TrollFresh Boots) off a named that the chunk was named for lol its kinda lame to see that stuff drop, i know the game is not finished, please fix the game, then worry about the other stuff...
We appreciate what u are trying to do but do it right please.

Graystone is a pretty good example or fun. If it were made a tad longer it would be perfect.

If I were just to walk into graystone and be given writs for killing x mobs, i'd summon the mobs and kill them, grab my heroic and walk out. Not a good thing..

I dont care about time involved, I dont care about how much of a level I earn.. as long as I am involved, I feel as though I am progressing. Make it as epic as you want, just dont have me farming greys for weeks.

If I need to pull together a competent group for 2 weeks straight to get something done, I'll do it.

@ OP:
Wanting to commit suicide does not make something fun, the fun you feel is "theres no way anyone will endure the pain to do this, I'm unique now". In its own way thats valid, every player should be able to feel unique, and thus far it hasnt happened. My armor looks the same as everyone elses, even though it isnt. I want challenge, hardcore challenge, a challenge that requires players to be geared up and know their class. Killing greys for weeks is not a challenge.

In the end I hope Epic quests are actually epic and require a fully supportive guild and they cannot be duo'd by 2 overpowered classes :D

I started at Wardship at lvl 28 and I just finished everything including the legendary upgrade to bow and am now 50% into lvl 40. It sucked hard corp doing it but in the end the elation is awesome.

Spending a fifth of the game getting an armour set sounds pretty damn harsh but well done to you for sticking it....I hope it was worth it!
