I wonder if these similar screenshots of the spider attack and the undead could be slideshowed and resemble a video?

Thanks for the idea, Orlun! I made a modest attempt at it using MS Powerpoint. Thanks Xhar for the tip about the sound files.

Here is the zombie one:

And here is the spider one:

Hopefully this will work (I'm kind-of a noob sometimes). Let me know what you think. Also, I think it would be interesting to see someone else's interpretation of the screenshots in a different story/scenario.

The music version of the Zombie and Spider Slideshows can be found here:

The Halloween slideshow is here:

For the smaller, music-less versions of the slideshows plus an EverQuest slideshow (The Whole Story), go here:

For the music versions, unzip and click the "play.bat" file.

Looks like the sound file (mp3) you have in the PPT is linked locally to your computer, so others won't be able to hear it. It's been so long since I've done PPTs (I now use Flash for all my needs), but I think if you do something called Pack and Go, it should save the media directly within the PPT file; so others can hear it.

btw, love the little skit ya got going there, thought it was just going to be cycling images, keep up the good work.

Ack, okay :) I'll try to figure out how to do that. Thanks for checking them out.

This has both the Zombies and the Dungeon Crawl slideshows with the music included. You must have Microsoft PowerPoint or the PowerPoint viewer. It can be found here:

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=428D5727-43AB-4F24-90B7-A94784AF71A4&displaylang=en

Just unzip the folder and click the "play.bat" file. The "fade" animation is a little crappier in this format, but it's a lot better with the music :)

Unfortunately, Xhar was unable to download them this way from Filefront, so as I suspect some other people may have the same problem, he's offered to host them for me. Here are some alternate links for the music-less files in the original post.

I decided to upload an old EverQuest slideshow I made about 4 years ago for the heck of it. There's a lot of EQ inside humor so you will probably appreciate it more if you played EQ ;)

Here it is:

I watched the Vanguard: Saga of heroes one and that was too cute! I liked the music and the "sound effects"! Are you going to make more slideshows as more screenshots are released? You should :) they are enjoyable.

I guess this was the best thing that could have been done with the multitude of zombies and spiders screenies :p

I just watched the spider one again and one of the spells the dark elf cast caught my eye. It was the blue one that looked like bright liquid running from the dark elf's hands, but at the same time looked as if the liquid was evaporating and encircling the hands. Very ethreal. :)

Thanks Ieranii! Yeah I hope I can make more... depends what kind of screens we get :)

And Skarlath, I really like the spell effects too. That's one of my favorite screens--the armor lighting is very nice as well.

I made a new Halloween slideshow! I'm a nut. It's lame but perhaps entertaining nonetheless :)

Here's the music version:

and the music-less version:

Haha! That was fantastic!

Little advice for everyone - take the one with the music. (You don't want to miss out on the monster mash!)

That was very cool Dary - Great work!

Happy Halloween everyone!
