The druid ring in Beranid Hills is bugged, it's like all the mobs are linked to one another. (at least on Gelenia).

I'm not sure what exactly is going on, but if you pull a mob that is standing inside the druid ring looking things, you get like 20+ mobs on you (chain rooting/snaring). This goes for all the little stone structures that are part of the druid ring.

One thing that I noticed, is that right clicking the glowing thingies for the quest where you need 5 of those from the farm, village and druid ring, is different for the druid ring. it seemed that the druid ring one pops mobs.

So maybe people are running around and right clicking those things without killing any mobs. Therefor the mobs keep popping, and they are actually standing on top of one another.

But I'm not sure if that is it, because if I look at the mobs... I can only see like 5 or 6. Yet when I pull, I get an army on me.

I have done that quest and found it fun, although a bit boring because of their 40sec unbreakable root that means instant death if there's a bad pull.

The problem is not that they are all linked, it's just the way they are spread around the spot. It brings social aggro to its full extent, since every mob is social here, and they are not far from each others. So you pull one, it calles the second, which calls the third, and it goes on... Then you end up pulling 20+ mobs at once.

I used calm and tried to pull carefully by taking advantage of their roaming path. Clean the druid servents first around, the only ones you can't pull solo are the ones in the circle, about 6 mobs. There you need either calm, or a good CC, or good legs. :)

Yeah.. to solo that area takes patience and a good handle on their social aggro. The ability to take on 2 or 3 at a time is a must as well.

There are druids that roam just outside of the aggro range of the actual circles that you can solo pull if you've killed all the ressurected druids around the circle. You just have to watch for them and be prepared to hit sprint and run away the instant you get 15.

To get the glowy clicky things, there is a spot on the north side between two druid rings that you can squeeze through if you solo pull the mobs there and you have a small area of safety where you can click a single crystal. They respawn pretty quick so you can get 2 or 3, back off, pull the mobs again, then get the rest.

It took me well over an hour just to do that quest and I had a number of deaths but frankly it was a challenge and I enjoyed it dammit :)

The thing is the difficulty is out of proportion to the rest of the quests/tasks. I was able to get samples form 2 areas without major problems, but for the last set of samples one needs a AoE group to tidy up the place.

Nothing major - just about 33% of the mobs timming out would make it a bit more "sensible".

I agree the aggro is silly. I did every quest from that outpost except the ones involving going inside the circle. Also the "Skelton machine" and "something critter" quest seemed broke.. still cool though because I got a good level at 36 soloing all the quests.
