Okay, after leaving Vanguard I was at a loss to what I should play. I hunted, looked around, and debated with my wife what our next game will be.

In the end we did something totally unexpected by either of us. We went back to (horror of horrors) Star Wars Galaxies.

Okay, it's definitely not the same game it was. I miss the skill trees. But despite it all I have to admit we're both having a TON of fun in it! They may have screwed up with the NGE, but they're definitely taking steps in the right direction.

We went in knowing that it WOULDN'T be the same game we left, but we wanted to determine if it would be a good game, nonetheless. It is. The depth and atmosphere in SWG is unparalleled in any game I've played.

We created anew on TCPrime; a new test-center server started only a few weeks ago.

The only problem we're having is the lack of people. If only there were a way to get people to come back and use that 14-day free trial ... :p

Okay, hang on a sec ** puts on flame retardant suit ** There, I'm ready. Flame away! :mc: :mc: :mc:

I working on getting my SWG character moved to my Station account. You have to keep using the same account name evidently. I have been playing the other SA games and think that the games are quality but there aren't a whole lot playing. I believe, SWG still has a lot of players though. It's still a pretty big game.

I want to try out the space game. My brother liked it a lot and got 3 master pilots. One for each faction I guess. I will miss my CH but I hear I get to pick anything and I will try to get a pilot going. I'm glad you are having fun. I can't wait to get my characters straightened out and I'll try it out for myself.

Talking about games we've left which might have improved in the meantime... EQ2, anyone? I'm almost persuaded by those who say the game has come on leaps and bounds, but...

...I remember the "whack-a-mole" button jamming that made me leave, and am afraid that this will still be present today. Seriously, if a game lets you hav 3 rows of hotbars, and use all your abilities at once, then I'm out.

I'm much more into pre-planning and careful selection before the combat begins. For that, Baldur's Gate was a great example. EQ was the last MMO I played which made me choose abilities (spells).

Since then MMOs have allowed me to all but fill up my screen with hot buttons, and I for one don't like it one bit.

I typically find when I'm 'desperate for something' I'll return to City of Heroes / City of Villains. It's the easiest one to play for a month and then leave again since it's really based around short time investments. ;)

I hate that too. I know that Warhammer at least will change that.
