OK this is how it has gone so far. First I spend over a grand on parts, then I hook everything up, plug a monitor in, turn the comp on, and stare at a black screen. I've tried absolutely everything to see something other then "Power Save Mode" and then a monitor in standby mode, but I just cant get the comp to send any kind of a video signal. turned out that the power supply didnt have the right amount of pins for a P5B deluxe mobo, so we bought a 600W that fit perfectly, and still nothing. bought a new DVI monitor and it still didn't work. bought another video card to see if the first one was dead, and that didn't work either. can anybody PLEASE tell me what could possibly be causing the problem? video card is definetley alive and plugged in. here are my system specs:
