Trick question!
I stumbled over this little gem today - kobold is actually the german word for Goblin! So having kobolds and goblins separately actually makes no sense.
I wonder if, when a German version of an MMORPG is released, whether the monster names are translated at all. Often monster names include English words. The variety of monsters within a species often occurs with the use of another adjective infront of the species name. "Virulent Griever" for example. Virulent means something in English, so would the German version convert Virulent Griever into <something> Griever, something being the german word for Virulent?
If they do, then are Goblins translated into 'Kobolds' therefore producing two drastically different races of Goblins?
Just thought it might be a topic worthy of discussion. Feel free to derail and talk about anything regarding monsters in Vanguard. :)
