Any news about animal races tails?

My cat, wolf and fox are still missing their tails. Does anyone have news about when we can expect to see them added to the game?

Original news was "post-lauch" which kind of describes situtation atm.

It's not been changing much since it's appearance a month ago and some of the things fixed, like mob hit-points updating accurately seem a bit optimistic to me. Still thismight be the place to check for early warnings.

Thing is, tails are ranked as 'cosmetic' but needing coding time. AFAK, right now Sigil's focusing 90% of their coding-time on Performance, Stability and Content before Cosmetics. They're throwing some things Cosmetic at us with every patch, but nothing 'major' like tails or helmets, both of which require more coding than a different glow to a bow or another (waffle) texture to your cloak.

Having said all this, in Qalia there's a quest where you can become one of the lizardmen for 20 minutes or so, with tail. The animation on that was very good, walking running and fighting. Not good when sitting though.

Not according to what I have seen. Devs told that tails will not be in lauch which is not the same as never.

In the present state of the game, I suspect that fluff like animal tails is about #3,823 on the list of things to do.

i would put this in the "lowest possible importance" category.

didn't they go with a uniform body shape format to lessen lag and such? Seems adding tails would just defeat that. And certainly half the people are gonna hate whatever solution they implement.

Tails are only cosmetic?
Yea... right... maybe we should just make every race look like the default guy you see when the server goes down, that would save a whole ton of resources that are wasted on cosmetic details.

I see that you have not seen how people have been crying about hair styles and how that should be fixed asap? I can say as a fact that my original post to this thread is not even close to dumbest one posted to this forum. Besides so far this forum has had freedom of speech (unless you use really vulgar language or post something illegal).

And WoW sucks. I checked it about a year ago and I can say that it was one of the least impressing games I have seen so far.

Remeber when EQ's Kunark expansion came out, and they not only had tails on the Lizard men, but they even changed the name of one of the monk attacks to a tail whip, with animation, just because they knew it would be badical? VG lacks badicality.

Nope. Since way, way back in beta they've stated they wanted to give Rakis, Cats, and Wolves tails but it would take some time to code BUT it was rather down on the list of things to do.
