"I'll only say this once and won't comment on it again.
I understand why Brad wasn't there to do this. I've talked to him about it a couple times before the layoffs, and regardless of what's been said, this was NOT, I repeat, NOT a money-grab for him. He took this all very seriously, and very personally, and out of everyone, it is entirely possible that he is taking this the hardest emotionally.
Brad is my friend still. I hold no ill will towards him, or really anyone at Sigil for that matter. It doesn't mean yesterday didn't hurt, because it did. But it's business, and sometimes business doesn't go how you want it to. If he called me today and said "Hey.. I'm starting something new and want you to be a part of it." I'd likely jump on board.
Some of you act like Brad and Sigil killed your family and set fire to your dog. In reality, you're only out some time, and a little bit of money. In the grand scheme, you're out next to nothing. So let it go. Move on. I'm trying to do that myself, and I lost my job yesterday."

Weird post. If he thinks that the $50 isn't that big a deal, I would ask that he please send me $50 to my paypal account STAT.

I agree that Brad being vilafied for running a company that failed is undue and harsh. However, to NOT be there when the staff was let go . . . seems not just rude and uncaring, but also just cowardly and small. So while I agree the community should lighten up about Brad and Sigils failure, it seems he does have something to answer for concerning the treatment of his employees, in my opinion anyway.

Yup, completely agree. I had a personal friend that was ridiculed by him when he left Sigil some time ago. I have no idea why exactly that happened, but Brad does seem to have much to answer for.

He does, and he should have stepped up like a man and faced the people his company had to fire. Hell, I've had to let people go before. It happens in the business world, does that mean I like it? No. But I did it, it was my job and showing my face was the right thing to do.

Sorry Elidroth, but you are delusional. You would jump on board to work for Brad again? After all of this? Seriously?
And you honestly expect people to just move on? There are reasons why soap operas last for decades, and Vanguard is quickly turning out to be the best one yet.

Had to fire my best friend in the world about a year ago. I never felt worse in my life but it got done and I didnt have someone else do it. Its sad and hard but grow a pair man! Just shows that just because you can be creative it doesnt mean you should run off and start a business.

You really like your drama eh? Are you gay? Maybe you should join a theatre troop, or go into fashion.

35 million, several vacations, an unknown amount of money siphoned from the accounts, and a new fluffer position created. . .unless we can have an account of what happened to that money and why he was screwing around all the time, that opinion doesn't mean jack schitt.

Im sure Eli will take anything thats within the same realm right now and thats mainly because he doesn't have an f'ing job at the moment.

Thats why morons post that kind of foolishness, don't bring up the fact that you lost a job. A lot of people got jewed out of a decent chunk of money, it would be different if all of the people that left the game were ten in total, but a lot of people have left something was wrong with the product they gave us, lol.
Is that guy even a real friend of Brad's or is he one of those people that considers his boss his friend, while McQuaid wouldn't even know his name if he met him again, lol.

I'm so glad he said what he did. I laugh when I see how emotionally involved some of you are in this "saga". It's a GAME, at the end of the day it's all just a time-sink. The dude wanted to make a cool game for all of you, remember that, sure it didn't work out, but dang give the guy a break, he's human! It's easy to sit at your PC point figures and make assumptions. None of you know Brad, so how can you make judgements about him as a human being? Come back to reality!
I hear the Hale Bop comet is coming around again soon. If Brad said it was a spaceship coming to get you would you believe him? Is Brad your BFF? :pirate:

Had a long post written out, but hell with it. To sum it up: To the players, Just Move On. We're not the ones who got fired. Hate Brad and whomever else all you want, but it's time to look ahead, whether it be in this game or in some other. We had no personal stake in this game. We didn't create it. They did. After all, it's not like this is the first one to have a fall-out. Whether it survives or not, only time will tell.
I wish the entire former Sigil staff the best in whatever they end up doing, even Brad.
