"It is bad guys versus good guys, and everyone wants to see that story," says director -- and hardcore "Star Wars" fan -- Kevin Smith in the documentary. "That story will never grow tired, never grow old."

By the way, rumor is that he's going to announce a new movie on the anniversary of the first one, which is today or tomorrow I think. Supposedly supposed to take place in the old republic, a la Star Wars KOTOR.

I hope he (Lucas) lets someone else make it.

n honor of “Star Wars” 30th anniversary, we created a list of the top thirty things that George Lucas’ iconic franchise taught us.
But we need help. Just today we thought of five more. Read ‘em below, and post your own below.
- The tighter we grip, the more Star Systems fall through our fingers.
All tyrants are ultimately responsible for their own demise, creating the very enemies that will destroy them. The harder they squeeze, the more resistance they face.
- When 900-years-old you reach, look as good you will not.
Not even mastery of the force can stop you from growing old, and ultimately passing on. Enjoy pleasures while you are young and capable of those joys.
- Your Jedi mind tricks will not work on me.
You can fool some of the people all of the time, and all of the people some of the time, but you can not fool all of the people all of the time.
- Notorious space pirates shoot first!
Really, Mr. Lucas. Shame.
- Fly Casual
The codes you have check out, but are old. Try not to arouse suspicion.
Lend us a hand and list the lessons “Star Wars” taught you below. It’s as if millions of voices cried out in terror…and were suddenly heard.

Are you sure you aren't talking about the TV series that's supposed to be set right around the time period of Star Wars?
PS to anyone who doesn't know - once you build your own lightsaber (http://www.amazon.com/Hasbro-84850-Star-Ultimate-Lightsaber/dp/B0007YDCK4/ref=pd_bbs_1/002-2593979-2748052?ie=UTF8&s=toys-and-games&qid=1180130197&sr=8-1) your training will be complete. :D

I want a fully functional one that can cut through hardened steel alloy, and powered by a mni fusion reactor in the grip.
3AA batteries just don't last long enough
