Has anyone found where they are located - have been trying to find the one in Ahgram but no luck as yet - was curious what titles they offer and how much they cost.

If anyone can direct me to where the Ahgram one is located it would be most appreciated - thanks.

Not sure where they're located but I saw someone mention that the titles cost 5gp. Dunno if that goes for all titles, though. There might be more expensive ones as well. Or cheaper for that matter. :)

The title commisioner is located within the Ahgrahm palace. Enter the doors and he'll be on your right.

Each title that you buy costs 5gold. There are 15 merchant pages of titles.

Hi,

What do titles offer? Does it help with faction, or diplomacy?
I was not sure what they were used for? I alway keep mine turned off.

Thanks

Most likely they don't offer anything beyond the title itself. Some people like to have them - others, like you, leave them off. No big deal either way, I guess. :)

how much do the xp vendors charge?

What about faction vendors? I'm sure they are out there somewhere.

About the only thing this POS game is missing now is a jack of all skills vendor. Tired of drowning? Well, perhaps you should purchase the enduring breath ability from your local vendor for 5gp! Don't have levitate? Stop in at your local vendor. Is your warrior tired of not being able to heal itself while sololing? 5gp - complete heal.

Can't afford 5gp each for every skill in the game? Well just go farm for a couple hours, merchant buy prices have increased ten fold, so money is even more worthless than it already was from the dupes!

Brilliant!

Titles = teh "I WINZ" button amirite?

Titles offer nothing at all to help you play the game. They are there only for show.

They are unrelated to diplomacy or anything else.

pretty sure these are new titles, not the ones you would earn by leveling crafting/harvesting/hunter's league.

So what the hell is the point of titles that you can just buy? At least in games like LotRO you earn them, and there are many possible to obtain.. but to get one you have to do more than just buy it.

I'm curious about that too. Seems like such a...pointless addition to the game. /shrug

What's the point of any title? If it's a title you get from completing a quest, why should I give a rat's ass that you completed that quest?

In CoH/CoV you get to pick titles by hitting level landmarks. Some people feel compelled to pick them to show off that they hit X level. Some people pick them because the title fits well with their name/concept. Some people want nothing to do with the titles at all.

I would say these titles would appeal to the people that pick titles because they feel they fit well with their character name/concept.

All that aside, it's an obvious money sink. I don't see what there is to complain about.

Don't get me wrong. I don't care either way. I just don't understand the point of bought titles. :)

Having completed quests or other feats is a neat way of gaining titles and being a little unique. But just buying them seems, well, pointless.

Again, though, I don't *mind* - I just don't understand it.

It's much more interesting to see a new title and ask someone how they got it and hear about a cool quest line or rare drop that you turn in rather than '5g in Aghram'.

I'd recommend you check out the titles before you criticize them. They're mostly different than quest titles. Most of them don't indicate that you've done something great. They're more to identify the kind of person you're toon is. I can see them being very important for the roleplayers. A Kojani human might get "of Shang Village", "of Ceros Isle", or "of Dallerjuba". A Bard might get "Musician" or "Troubadour". Martok Warriors and Dreadknights will love being known as Scar, Fury, or Vise. A Qalian warrior might get Guard or Conscript to fit in with the soldiers at Khal or Ahgram. I might pick up Mediator sometime.

It would be a cool screenshot of a guy with the Pirate title at the wheel of a caravel and a bunch of Deck Hands around the ship.

there were 176 titles to choose from in TG. Go check them out.

I suppose I'll just be "that strange mystery man" with no title. People will be whispering in the streets, guessing who I might - or might not - be.

"Oooh, who is that titleless man?" "How mysterious!"

So, for the moment, those purchased titles should just say "hey look, i had 5g."

They should make tittles be of diferent colors than names and/or be on a separate line from the Name. As it is right now it is really hard to find the name of a player between Amateur Artificers Perrito Bites of Aghram (as an example). It would be much better:

Amateur Articier Perrito Bites of Aghram

or
Perrito Bites
Journeyman Artificer of Aghram

What makes you think that people who duped are going to waste their duped gold on something as frivolous as meaningless titles?

I want the title "Grand Wizard <insert name here> of a Thousand Truths".
...or "Hi, I am <insert name here>, who the hell are you?"

:P
