The Scenario:

A comet the size of Texas is heading directly for Earth. It has been calculated by NASA that in 25 years it will hit the planet and exterminate all life.

Our technology at this point in history has evolved to the point that we can use DNA to create any life form.

edit per Ven: "Ok, lets say we have the technology to clone one human being and can only do it once."

It has been decided by the US government and the people that one man or woman will have 25 years to lead us and be in charge of the preserving the human race and as many species as possible. A modern day Noah.

There will be no more elections due to them being a waste of time and that they will only hurt any progress made by the previous president.

One final election will be held. This election is for the last president in human history. The people will need to choose who will lead the country for the next 25 years. This president will need to come up with a plan that will lead to the survival of the human race and execute it. Time of course is of the essence.

You can choose from anyone in the present day age 45 or younger or pick from any world leader from anytime in history alive or dead. Meaning if President Kennedy was still alive he would be about 80 today, even though he is still alive you would be able to create Kennedy at any age you choose.

Who would you choose?

I'm going to liberally interpret the rules concerning 'world leader'.

Friedrich Nietzsche (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Friedrich_Nietzsche).

Interesting choice.

I read that as you can chose one of these:

1) Anyone in the present day, less than 46 years old

OR

2) Any world leader, from any time.

Why do you find my choice interesting?

You are right.

I find it interesting because he is a philologist. While being a brilliant man I don’t think he would have the capacity to come up with a solution to save the planet.

My Choice would be H.G Wells.

Well, he doesn't have to come up with all the stuff by himself, right? He just needs to be a leader to ensure our survival.

Wells is a great choice.

No not alone. But he needs to lead to effort or no one will follow him. I think Wells had amazing vision of the future, imagine his insight today if he was still alive.

With our technology I think he would know exactly what to do and put the right people to work in the right places. Hell, I think HG is probably an Alien and would just quietly pick up the phone and call in some support.

Well, Fred can just clone Wells, right? Bring along Anthony, Card, and Orsen Wells, just to be on the safe side.

Damn.. Your pulling out the holes in my scenario.

Ok, lets say we have the technology to clone one human being and can only do it once.

Feel free to edit my first post with all the changes. :)

you picked a nutcase
Nietzsche began his career as a philologist before turning to philosophy. At the age of 24 he became Professor of Classical Philology at the University of Basel, but resigned in 1879 due to health problems, which would plague him for most of his life. In 1889 he exhibited symptoms of a serious mental illness, living out his remaining years in the care of his mother and sister until his death in 1900.

Who would you choose?

This is simple: I would choose Ghenghis Khan. That dude kicked ass. He raped the Chinese, the Persians, the Indians, the Europeans, and everyone that got in his goddamn way. Nobody compares to him, and nobody ever will. He would sow salt in the fields of those he conquered, and then leave a big pile of burning skulls. That is some kick ass shit.

A close second place would be Elizabeth I, but only so I can bang her around for a bit after I punch her in the back. DONKEY PUNCH FTW!!!!!:volcano:

I really can't see cloning as a solution, because with environment factored into psychological and emotional development the individuals mind and all abilities associated with creativity inspiration vision and leadership would not be the same. In short... you would not end up with the same person you wanted to fill the need. You just can't duplicate the life experiences that "made the Man 'or' Woman through cloning.

If you could... I'd say a more present day leader with vision and charisma such as J. F. Kennedy. One that can see and "understand" what could and can be done.

Wells (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/H._G._Wells) although brilliant and visionary did not possess the qualities to manage or lead a nation, and his ability to unite a population to a cause is questionable IMO.

JFK got us to the moon within 10 years, and he never lived to see it. He was dead and yet we carried on at huge expense while enduring a bitter conflict that divided the Nation. I was alive when and while that man was alive... it was different, the mood and the optimism. When he was killed "everyone" was in shock! All sides all peoples (even the world). It was that traumatic for everyone.

If I could bring one man back... it would be him.

Wow, your gay fascination knows no boundaries. You are so deprived of cock that you will even chase after the dead. You really do have some issues. Just so you know, JFK wasn't a faggot, so your sick fantasy is just that - a sick fantasy. You need to give up your quest for dick and start reading the KJB. Maybe then you will stop your silly fantasy of having JFK ass rape you. Fag.:volcano:
