Dear Foz,

I have been wondering this for awhile now. For years i have been bouncing around drivers in my head. I save everything i can for different drivers, in locations on my computer.

What tools would you suggest, 1. Not freeware, 2. Not outdated the for a long time, 3. Always updates current drivers, 4, without fear of downloading the incorrect drivers.

Like i said Cost isnt an issue, and without fear of the company putting out a horrible product. Always updated, always current. Licence may apply.

p.s edit, I used to use driver guide, now i am not sure they compete enough with the current market. It was a freeware tool back then.

Thanks
Docster

You mean a utility that grabs and updates all drivers on the machine, or just specific drivers (like video)?

Honestly, I don't know of any utilities like that. Not that there isn't one, I just haven't ever used or seen it. Maybe someone else in the community will be more helpful. :(

if you buy IBM they have a pretty kick ass driver and system utility update feature. But that is coming from a business IT engineer and not a gamer.

Not specific to one manufacture but one that is versitile to all clones. Driver guide has a nice one, but not everyone knows about it.

It checks the P/N and firmware of the product and compares it to a massive driver list. It then links to current drivers for your product. Yes chipset, product, and manufacture drivers. It does work well if you know how to handle it.

I just thought others might have some other possible links to different programs.
