Meh, it's okay. Because of the time difference they turned up yesterday before I had become the top poster. I just showed them that I wasn't in the lead and so they grunted a bit, shrugged their shoulders and left my keyboard alone. They're on their way back to you at the moment. ;)

There's nothing wrong with a little elitism. Providing my posts don't become ridiculously spammy, i'll be proud of being top poster. :D

Communities need framework. I liked the veteran community that the OVF had going for so long - not intimidating enough to prevent new members from getting involved but obvious enough to ensure the forums were friendly rather than faceless.

As for self-appointment... well we "kings of the postcount" can't help it if the forum needs us. ;) :p
