Apparently, he's working in a new Sci-Fi movie called Project 880 and an online game tied to it. His idea is to let the players explore the universe before the movie is released in theaters.

Richard Garriott (if I have the name right), from Ultima fame is supposidly working on a space-based MMOG. Wonder if these are related (I have no clue, haven't read anything about what he's up to other than the rumor that he's doing something space-based).

I'd think if Cameron is working on the film storyline, then developers are working on the game (as in it IS in development). Assuming he wants the game out first, makes sense that the game would be developed at least at the same time, if not well before.

Will be an interesting turn of events to watch develop. See if hollywood can keep it's idiocity out of the game (and vs. vs.. I can see a piss-poor movie spawning from a game, and a piss-poor game spawning from a movie. It's been done, both ways, before -- a few times!).

Thanks,
