Hi,
First of all i must say that i am jelous all of you that have had the change to beta test the game. So keep this in your mind when you read this post.
Im not likely to have a chance at beta besauce my rig is old, i have seen the graphics that they are using, same tree system is in oblivion and it is true that you cannot play or test that kind of graphic game whit my rig and that is a fact. I am gonna upgrade my machine when this game lauch not sooner so i have made'd a choice here.
So about the NDA. Why is it so easy to break it? Why are poeple posting that they have xx level char in the game? That infomation is under NDA.
Why are you posting that beta is closed temporary? That information is under NDA too.
Every information that you cannot read from vanguadsoh home page or official intervies are under NDA please respect it.
There are good reasons why things are done behind the veil. Not all the things that you see in beta test are in final product. The beta test is idea testing ground and i really don't want to know what ideas are shooted down besauce you and i don't know the reasons.
Even when you see a thread where people are discussing features of a class it's not your place to correct us. Only Sigil people can say for sure that the feature is done in this way.
So every time that you break the NDA you are feeding us information that can change later so don't do it.
We aren't in equal in this matter so don't rant whit your place it only raise bad feeling in us who had been waiting this game to come years..

No it's not, it's under the Beta News Section of the OVF. As much as I would love the chance to break the NDA (not that I would Brad) I am not under NDA since I am not in the Beta.

Hehe.
We run a tight ship over here when it comes to NDA breaks - we've seen a few, some deliberate and some honestly accidental blunders. If something posted breaks the NDA we swiftly remove it and notify Sigil. :)
The increasing number of NDA breaks on the OVF is sad... whats worse is that those who would stoop to break the NDA are generally those testers who are discontented with the game, one way or the other - often, it seems, because they expect it to be a complete game for them to play, even 6 months before launch. Because the breakers are those with negative things to say, you then get the impression that everything is doom and gloom with things falling apart all over the place and nothing working right.
We cannot know whether this is the case beyond getting invited to beta and seeing for ourselves, but I think you can be sure that things are never as bad as NDA breakers would make them seem. :)
Finally, if you do come across an NDA break here at Silky Venom, just PM one of our staff, and we'll take care of it asap. :)

In defense of these disgruntled beta testers, you must realize that until this SOE deal went through, many people were expecting a late summer release for Vanguard. It's not terribly surprising that people would be posting doom and gloom if they were under the impression that the game was 2 - 3 months from release, rather than 6 months from it.

Still to me a cheezy attitude for a beta tester.
It really bothers me, because I know i'd behave differently as a "tester", than they. Sure I like to hear what I can about the game, and it's hard to refuse, If I do get info I don't advertise it... Trust me.. I have'nt gotten much, and I don't go looking. I post here, the OVF, and VGtact, and that's about all web searching/travel I do. (I'm not a geek)
Just bothers me that people break a "trust" or contract. It does'nt speak to highly of them and leaves what they say... "suspect" to me.

I'm not trying to justify breaking the NDA. I think if you agree to beta test a game and you agree to a NDA, you should stick to it. I am, however, saying that people may feel differently about the game based on when it's to be released. Some people won't like the game, and that's ok. It's not OK to break a contract just because you're pissed off.

last line in my quote is how I take NDA breakers (with a grain of salt) realising they don't belong there to begin with.

It is just sad that they want the game released earlier and complain about it. When in the end they are going to be receiving a higher quality game. A few months difference can make years of difference.
Same concept could be said about Nintendo and about 90% of their games. They are delayed but that is because they are such perfectionists (as a lot of the Japanese culture is) when it comes to such things. Did anyone see the Zelda: Twilight Princess videos from E3? Holy Moly...
*cough* On to the actual subject. Down with NDA Breakers!

as a tester... your critisisms belong on the beta board. (nowhere else)
If you don't "like the game", are dissillusioned about it... post that on your friendly beta board. (that's the job of beta testing)
/rant on
People that rant outside that (beta board) have their head up their ass (in no uncertain terms).
/rant off
