We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all games are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain kickass gameplay, that among these are storylines, graphics and the pursuit of phat lewtz and high scores.

It may not exactly be the next coming of a revolution, but independent game companies are making their push into the retail spotlight with a new compilation release, IG: Independent Games.

After years of online distribution and word of mouth marketing, independent developers are taking their futures into their own hands and making their stand that their games can compete in the market no matter how many publishers have passed them by.

This is a great beginning to makeing the general public aware that there are some absolutely stellar games out there just waiting to be played, and although they don't come with a full marketing campaign or a multi-million dollar budget, they will blow your socks off.
