Yep, that NCSoft scene held the first sentence that has ever left his mouth (on show) that actually made any sense. :p

Heh that's what I thought when I saw that NCSoft show as well (in various videos). How cool would that be to become so popular you get invited to E3 even though you aren't part of the industry.

(At least I'm guessing he's not. I don't follow his site.)

Basically he pwns all. So of course he can get in. Plus the site spawned fps doug (i think) which is one of the greatest videos ever. :P

In the last episode I saw, there was bit about a young schoolkid who was being bullied at his school. He sent a letter to Jeremy describing how he gets bullied because he's small, and how he stood up to his tormentor and cited Pure Pwnage as giving him the courage to do so.

Now, whether this actually happened is debatable. The young kids letter was obviously used as a plot device. But the guy holding the camera whos name escapes me now said "we get letters like this all the time". It was one of the very few serious parts of Pure Pwnage.. and I have to admit, I am inclined to believe it.

So although the show itself is comical and silly, I do believe people identify with it and draw positive aspects from it, as odd as it seems. (Jeremy had previously stood up to an arrogant jock type who was muscling in on his girlfriend). It's a screwed up world where Teh Ownerer can be looked on as an idol, but if it helps people, cool. When I went to school, my hero's were film stars and rock stars.

This is the digital age now however, so although it's strange to me, I can see how Teh Ownerer could take the place of Clint Eastwood. Yeah, I can't believe I just said that either.

Ownerer?! I think you need to buy yourself a dictionary - there's meant to be a P in there somewhere.

Pure Pwnage is great - those E3 clips were very funny. :)

I liked it in an ‘I’m a 12 yo n00b foo’ kind of way I guess, but in an adult way… I feel ashamed to be a gamer.

I suppose. The fool is the wisest one among us.

Heh. Come to think of it now maybe Knight Rider, The Saint, Man From Uncle, Doc Savage, even Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn were more my era really.

Hum... MMO girl was pretty funny. I'll have to peep the rest. :p

So is he like an RTS pro guy? Like Fatal1ty is a pro FPS guy? How do you get into those competition things? I never see any ads for em. 'course I tend to suX0r at competitive games like that. I'm ok at FPSs though, usually in the top 10%. :)

(having seen like half)
Ok some of these are pretty funny... :)

What's up with "the micro"?

paahahahahaha ok new peeps should always start with episode 4. :D

A micro is an rts term short for micro-management. Basically, it's multitasking a number of different skirmishes at once -- if you have "uber micro" it means you're controlling the battlefield, switching from skirmish to skirmish quicky, moving units around, etc.

His background is pure rts, specifically command and conquer. Over the course of the series though he plays other genres. Bear in mind he is not a pro gamer though -- I don't think he even enters competitions. It's just a persona for the purpose of the series.
