801With the X-Box 360 being the latest gen console currently available it is definitely paving the way for the others to follow. It is also setting a pretty high bar. In the latest developments, Microsoft has released its first of a long line of biannual system upgrades, downloadable through X-Box Live!

Will we see this new functionality arise in the Wii or PS3? Only time will tell, but until then, enjoy the content, play a few games, and check out the new features (http://www.xbox.com/en-US/community/news/2006/0605-springrelease-features.htm).

PS2 had something similar to this. They would release the patches on DVD though.

Well, I know that one of the patch disks was included with FFXI on the PS2. But that was an older one, way back in 2004.

You either had to contact Sony or get it in a magazine for the most part.

Im surprised they didnt just put in stealth patches in all their new games....keeping customers always wanting to buy more in order to keep their systems at top optomization.

I think Sony and Microsoft are evil enough to do that :D

Xbox live is nothing what you think if you never used it...It is full online service. Say, I'm watching a dvd on my 360 my brother can start a voice chat and talk to me with the 360 when the movie is playing...I love the 360. They will be selling video camera soon so you put your real face in games.
