View Full Version : states sue chipmakers
Hmm, 34 states sueing the top 7 chip makers. What will this hold for the consumer? Lower prices, higher prices or none? Thought of the Fozz and Rabb1t and noticed it wasn't on the boards yet.

It's total crap. Everyone has known that price fixing and other dirty tricks were going on with the RAM manufacturers... in fact some companies (Samsung being the biggest, I believe) have already been found guilty of it in court in other countries. This just looks like some states trying to jump on board and make a little extra money.
The fact that Samsung is not named in the suit is the biggest joke. It's likely Samsung either had a part in the suit being brought (gave up details on competitors to get them sued and hurt them), or else they were the biggest 800-pound gorilla and were able to make the right political "contributions" to stay out of the suit.
As I said... it's CRAP! :p
