The Kura

In one of the last lore tidbits, the Kura are mentionned. It seems they are experienced hunters. When I read it, I think as them as a "race". Or maybe it's just a community.

What do you think ?

Wow, I was so busy putting it up on the main page that I didn't even notice, but I think you're right, Gardomyn - I think it's a race. At the very least it's a branch of a race. Now I'm so curious I can't wait to find out.

You know what, I wonder if it's a Vulmani branch ?
In the OGaming Audio interview (I think it was OGaming?!) last year, I remember Brad stated that the Vulmani we saw was Thestran one or something like this...
As the Vulmani live in forest, near Leth Nurae, they might be good hunters as well...

Or maybe this Kuras are just evil mobs :)

I thought it might be Vulmani as well when I first read it. I still do kinda...but I can't help but think that the gnome has planted that thought in my head. Devious little pantless things aren't they?

I dunno, Fozz. We had gnolls and vah shir in EQ. And I don't THINK they chased each other.

And Qalia is sort of desert, Egyptian, etc. A cat race would make perfect sense. And cats are awesome hunters, much better than dogs, unless the dogs have been trained.

I think it is highly likely, Kura - too bad, since you have had it for so long. Perhaps you could think of a name that included Kura without making it look too artificial. Something like Kuraban, or Kurabi, or...something like that. Then your nick would be Kura :)

Actually, Kura, I really like Hav's suggestion, minus the double name. Kurakusa would be a great first name. Apparently, Vanguard is going to have double names right from the start, so you could plan a fitting second name, something like Kurakusa Forestlord (or something like that...I actually really like the sound of that - it flows).

I was chatting to Kura last night for quite a while. He designed the site himself. He says he loves puttering around with design like that. And yeah, I really like it too :)

yall are sweet, I really like yalls guild a lot. Its good to see a strong guild pre-release pouring back into the community as you are doing.

As far as my name goes, Kurakusa Forestlord is a great name.

But I love short names, I dont want to go over 4 characters lol.

Kusa is my last name, we have a family.

Kura Kusa - Ranger
Ariaan Kusa - Warrior
Brutalix Kusa - Cleric of some sort
Artek Kusa - Monk, Bard or Rogue
Veeble Kusa - Psionist
Halthos Kusa - Sorcerer

We set up our family like a really strong group, and are trying to establish more in guild families =) But if I use a long name it just messes everything up!!!
