Laptop specs question

1GB, DDR2, 533MHz 2 Dimm
256MB NVIDIA GeForce Go 6800
60GB Ultra ATA 7200RPM Hard Drive

Have'nt seen much talk on mobile graphics cards. Wondering if this setup will run VG. Or should I start convincing the wife that she really needs my laptop and I can just throw together a box to game on. :)

I'd recommend trying to play on whatever and deciding if you even like the game before judging any parts or making any upgrades specifically for one thing.

Will it run it? Who can say. We are at least, I'm guessing, 5 months till launch. I'd suggest waiting to see what peeps say about specs at the end of that time. (And again, ideally try it out on something before upgrading.)

Based on what we know (what they have hinted at as far as specs), the game should run on that laptop. I can't really say if it will run well...if you would be happy with the performance or settings you could achieve...but I think it would play it.

A desktop would very likely be better, especially if it is something purchased right around the time the game launches. I agree whole-heartedly with rabb1t, though. Actually trying out the game and seeing what works for you would be a good idea before spending any money.
