I have not seen anyone start up a thread on this title yet, so thought I would go ahead. I did not make it into the beta, and I have heard a few disgruntled comments about the title from some who were.
I just got the demo last night though and judging from just it, the game will still be kinda fun. I can already say that I miss some of the depth I was hoping to see though, such as bonuses from attacking an enemies flanks or back. It also does not look like you get friendly fire damage when closing with the enemy one of your ranged units is shooting at. Explosions are something I still have not tried too much, but I did kill 5 of my own guys while shooting at some explosive barrels during the tutorial hehe.
As far as depth to the combat goes, I might just have to get Medieval 2: Total war *shrug*
