Ive combed the vendor recommendations above, but can anyone point me in the direction of companies that build small box systems?

Huuummmm...

There is Falcon Northwest (http://www.falcon-nw.com/), but they tend to be a bit pricey.

I think Monarch Computers (http://www.monarchcomputer.com/Merchant2/merchant.mv) also will build a SFF one not sure.

Be aware though that the small form factor size really isn't a whole lot smaller. Something like the Antec Lanboy is very close in size yet has the flexibility of a standard size case.
