I wish I could... but sadly I live on the wrong coast, I have a good job and a family, and am unable to uproot. =(

I wish I could as well. But unfortunately I'm firmly rooted, and unable to relocate.
Now, if sometime down the road they have remote work....

*cry* I wish I could but alas I am also firmly planted where I am, no uprooting to be done here.
My only hope is that there is some sort of volunteer program I can contribute to. *crosses her fingers*

Best of luck!
*plenty* of reasons why I couldn't apply ... it would be so much fun though! :)

Yes indeed...good luck Laurel!
Yep, good luck, Laurel :)
I am not applying either, for much the same reason as Heloisa (I live in Calgary).

You live in Calgary?? Migod, what a small world lol
Yeah, this rain is amazing. I know we needed it, but good lord, all at once? Lots of rivers overflowing their banks too. Not even the farmers are happy, since it's washing out seeds. Ducks will be happy, I suppose.
All ready for Stampede this year? :p
Edit: This article (http://news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&cid=841&e=1&u=/nm/20050619/wl_canada_nm/canada_weather_canada_flood_col) shows what kind of flooding we're having. No more rain dances for joo! :p

Yeah this June has to be the wettest on record... and we're just barely half way through. It sounds like the prov gov will kick in some relief for flooding victims, so that's good news.
I hope your home didn't have any problems. I was lucky and didn't even have a drip.
You, your hubby and I will have to meet up for coffee/tea sometime and talk about Vanguard! :)
cheers :)
PS Probably going to see the Chucks during Stampede... and the beer gardens ;) yaaaahooo!!
