With the Desert theme in Qalia and its Arab overtones I have a question about names.
Many names from the real Arab world have a "-" in the last name along with Capital letters "inside" the name. i.e. ad-Din
Currently i get a "not allowed character" error msg when submitting a name following the above convention.
Will this be changing with release?

Yeah it sucks... My iconic name is 16 characters long (which is legit in EQ, EQ2, etc) but Vanguard limits to 14 characters. Also I like last names with ' or ` in them... like D'Arrus or D`Almarra. Can't do that either.
I also could never figure out if it was this ' or this `. :)

This is going to sound ridiculously noob, but I dont have Beta... can you give your character a last name? And 14 characters is unacceptably short, so everyone e-mail Sigil and demand longer names. Thanks. :D

Well it's 14 chars for first and 14 chars for last so at least that's 28.
